Official Trailer Released For ‘Antlers’ From ‘Hostiles’ Director Scott Cooper, Producer Guillermo del Toro

Back in August we saw a teaser trailer for Antlers, a new horror from director Scott Cooper (Hostiles, Black Mass) and producer Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth).

Now Fox Searchlight has released an official trailer for the movie, which stars Keri Russell (Felicity, Waitress), Jesse Plemons (Fargo, The Irishman), Jeremy T. Thomas (Lore, The Righteous Gemstones), Graham Greene (The Green Mile, Wind River), Scott Haze (Venom, Midnight Special), Rory Cochrane (Dazed and Confused, Argo), and Amy Madigan (Field of Dreams, Uncle Buck).

Amazon To Publish Collection Of Guillermo del Toro Horror and Dark Fantasy Short Stories

A collection of short stories written by the two-time Oscar-winning director of The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth, The Devil’s Backbone, Hellboy, Pacific Rim, Crimson Peak, and much more, Guillermo del Toro, is on the way.

The announcement comes from Amazon Original Stories, an imprint of Amazon Publishing, which reached a deal with del Toro to publish the short story collection. You can find more info along with a quote from del Toro below.

Fox Searchlight has released a teaser trailer for Antlers, a new horror directed by Scott Cooper (Hostiles, Black Mass, Out of the Furnace, Crazy Heart) and produced by Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water, Pan’s Labyrinth, The Devil’s Backbone, Crimson Peak).

The movie stars Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons, Jeremy T. Thomas, JT Corbitt, Graham Greene, Scott Haze, Rory Cochrane, and Amy Madigan, and is based on Nick Antosca‘s short story “The Quiet Boy.”

Gamescom 2019: New Gameplay and Character Trailers For Hideo Kojima’s ‘Death Stranding’

To kick off Gamescom 2019 last night Geoff Keighley, the man behind the yearly Game Awards, hosted an opening night showcase.

Closing out this showcase was the great Hideo Kojima, who was on hand to share some new trailers for Death Stranding, his highly anticipated first non-Metal Gear game as director since 1994’s Policenauts—not counting the P.T. demo for the Silent Hill game we’ll never get to play, sadly. Kojima shared three new character trailers for the game, found below, one of which includes new peeks at gameplay footage.

As a kid, I thoroughly enjoyed Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark from author Alvin Schwartz and illustrator Stephen Gammell. The way that the creepy writing married with the bone-chilling imagery carved out my love for horror at a very young age. These pictures weren’t easy to look at, either. But as disturbing as they are, they were fascinating pieces of work. The way that the blacks and grays worked in unison against a white background evoked a wide range of emotions from fear to intrigue. And the same can be said for the writing, which was simple and yet did not skimp on any of the gory details. All of it just pulled you into a world that is both frightening and yet you want to visit.
