To kick off Gamescom 2019 last night Geoff Keighley, the man behind the yearly Game Awards, hosted an opening night showcase.
Closing out this showcase was the great Hideo Kojima, who was on hand to share some new trailers for Death Stranding, his highly anticipated first non-Metal Gear game as director since 1994’s Policenauts—not counting the P.T. demo for the Silent Hill game we’ll never get to play, sadly. Kojima shared three new character trailers for the game, found below, one of which includes new peeks at gameplay footage.
Season 9 of AMC’s The Walking Dead will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital later this month.
The complete ninth season of the series, which saw Angela Kang as the showrunner, will be released on August 20, 2019 from Lionsgate Home Entertainment, and is available for pre-order now on Blu-ray/Digital Combo Pack, DVD, and Digital.
This home release, which includes all 16 episodes, will include several making-of featurettes, deleted scenes and bonus scenes, and a look at the memorable deaths of the season.
Gamers have been excited about the latest game from Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima, titled Death Stranding, for three years now. But trailers and gameplay peeks we’ve seen over those three years, while awesome and intriguing, have left us clueless as to what the hell is actually going on in the game.
Thankfully a new trailer has been released, and I can absolutely confirm that I still have not a freakin’ clue what’s going on. But damn, it is pretty awesome. In fact, if I get a chance to review the game it might just say “Damn, that was awesome” and leave it at that.
The trailer shows off more of the game, including some new gameplay action, and introduces some new cast including a second film director making an appearance. It also reveals something Kojima fans have been eagerly awaiting for a long time: a release date. You can find more info and check out the trailer below.
All reports of The Walking Dead‘s demise have been greatly overstated. By 9:15am on Saturday (over an hour before doors opened to the general public), the parking lot of the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center was jam packed and lines were forming outside for this year’s Walker Stalker Con. When the doors opened at 10:30am, it was as if the zombies had broken through the gates! Fans of the AMC television series, which is currently in its ninth season, packed the convention hall to meet their favorite stars, get autographs, take photos, and sit for Q&A panels.
