All reports of The Walking Dead‘s demise have been greatly overstated. By 9:15am on Saturday (over an hour before doors opened to the general public), the parking lot of the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center was jam packed and lines were forming outside for this year’s Walker Stalker Con. When the doors opened at 10:30am, it was as if the zombies had broken through the gates! Fans of the AMC television series, which is currently in its ninth season, packed the convention hall to meet their favorite stars, get autographs, take photos, and sit for Q&A panels.
During Amazon’s Prime Showcase panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2018 their adaptation of Good Omens, the book by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, was on hand.
At one point during the show’s time on stage a disembodied voice rang out, speaking to Gaiman, who created the series and is the showrunner. The voice belonged to God, a character on the show. And who was voicing God? That would be two-time Academy Award winner Frances McDormand (Fargo, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri).

Looks like Morrissey is taking a page right out of This Is Spinal Tap, which had one of the main characters listening to the Namesake audiobooks, where works of famous authors are read by other celebrities with the same surname. (…works of Washington Irving read by someone called “Dr. J.”) For the singer’s upcoming memoir, David Morrissey, who stars as The Governor on TV’s The Walking Dead, has provided the narration for the audiobook version.
Titled simply Autobiography, the former Smiths singer’s book will be released in the United States on December 3, 2013 in hardcover and Kindle ebook, with the David Morrissey-narrated audiobook coming on December 21, 2013.
Last night’s episode of The Walking Dead leaves the confines of the infected prison camp and focuses solely on The Governor (David Morrissey) and his journey after he massacres his own group. We also get a little bit of his back story on what he’s been up to since we last saw him.
In Episode 406 “Live Bait,” the Governor finds himself in a whole new and unexpected situation, and eventually, he runs into some serious danger in a “Walker Pit.” Watch the scene from the episode here below and see just how badass the Governor truly is.
Also included are two behind-the-scenes/making-of videos for the episode.
