‘Ghostbusters’ Returning To Theaters For 35th Anniversary

This year marks the 35th anniversary of the theatrical release of Ghostbusters, the 1984 blockbuster comedy starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson as the title paranormal investigators. Now, Fathom Events and Sony Pictures are bringing the film back to theaters nationwide for 2 days only this October.

Theaters nationwide will be showing the film on Sunday, October 6 and Thursday, October 10, 2019, and will include a screening of an introduction with newly unearthed and rarely seen alternate takes.

Universal Celebrates ‘National Lampoon’s Animal House’ With John Belushi “Best Of Bluto” Video

In honor of the 41st anniversary this week of National Lampoon’s Animal House, the uproarious frat comedy that is still vibrant, raunchy, refreshingly un-PC, and hilarious as ever, Universal Pictures has released a “Best of Bluto” video that compiles some of the most memorable scenes by John Belushi‘s iconic and slovenly character.

Female ‘Ghostbusters’ Officially A Go; Paul Feig To Direct, ‘The Heat’ Writer Will Pen Script

After waiting years for Ghostbusters 3 to happen, news broke today that we will be finally getting it. Just not the one you’d might expect to see. Bill Murray had expressed interest in seeing the franchise go through a reboot with an all female cast, and that of course sparked talks amongst fans. Though we do not know who will be casting, Paul Feig confirmed that he will be directing the film, and that The Heat writer Katie Dippold will pen the script.

Dan Aykroyd has repeatedly kept Ghostbusters 3 hopes alive, but with Murray uninterested in the project and the passing of Harold Ramis, any hopes of bringing the crew back together were slim. So seeing Feig taking the reins for a whole new film could be fun, and the idea that this will be an all female cast is refreshing. Hit the jump for more.
