The first trailer for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the upcoming film based on the Seth Grahame-Smith novel of the same name, has been released.
Watch the trailer, which is the UK version, here below. The U.S. version, which likely won’t be much different, is scheduled to be released very soon.
The story, based on the horror mash-up from Quirk Books, is a take on Jane Austen’s Regency classic Pride and Prejudice, centering on the Bennett sisters — Elizabeth (Lily James), Lydia (Ellie Bamber), Mary (Millie Brady), Jane (Bella Heathcote), and Kitty (Suki Waterhouse).
Last October, we got the first look at main stars of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the film adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s horror-classics mash-up of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. That first photo featured the Bennett sisters — Elizabeth (Lily James), Lydia (Ellie Bamber), Mary (Millie Brady), Jane (Bella Heathcote), and Kitty (Suki Waterhouse) — ready to do battle against zombies in pre-Victorian-era England.
Now, new images from the upcoming film have been released via EW. Check them out here below in the image gallery.
Today sees the release of the new Quirk Books title Jane Austen Cover to Cover: 200 Years of Classic Covers in hardcover and for the Kindle and it’s a real treat for Jane Austen fans.
The 224-page mini coffee table book boasts over 200 color reproductions of various covers of Jane Austen books along with in depth commentary by Margaret C. Sullivan, author of The Jane Austen Handbook and founder of AustenBlog.com. Covers for literary classics like Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, and many more are featured.
One of the most memorable “speeches” that’s come out of AMC’s Breaking Bad is the one Walter White (Bryan Cranston) gives about being “The One Who Knocks.”
Now, McSweeney’s has posted what Walt’s speech would have been if it had been written by famous authors like Edgar Allan Poe, George R.R. Martin, J.K. Rowling, Dr. Seuss, and more.
I’ve listed a few from my favorite authors here below, along with a video of the scene from Breaking Bad (where Walt also says another popular quote, “I am the danger”).
Part of Amazon’s monthly Kindle ebook deals is Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Seth Grahame-Smith‘s zombie mash-up of the Jane Austen classic, for only $2.79 (that’s 78% off the regular price of $12.95). If you’d like to purchase a physical copy of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, the book is also available in paperback and hardcover.
