When someone asks if you would like to watch and review a new DC animated film, you say yes almost without exception. Regardless, getting to see this a week early was a treat that I’m happy to be able to discuss with you today. Read on for more details!
We asked you to tweet your support of the NBC show Constantine. And you did. We asked you to pass the word and get other people involved saving the show. And you did. We asked you to issue death threats against NBC executives. And you…wait a second. No, we didn’t. That’s not just illegal, it’s immoral! What are you? Some sort of hellion? Or maybe you, like me, are a Hellblazer fan! I know there are a lot of us but sadly, this time, our voices went unheard. Or, more likely, the proof was NOT in the pudding as far the ratings went. Why didn’t more folks watch this series?
With the second season of Arrow launching on The CW next week, as well as plans for an upcoming spin-off of that show featuring The Flash, AND plans for a show on Fox that will focus on Batman’s Commissioner Gordon, there are a ton of DC Comics properties being put onto the small screen. We can add one more with the announced plans, courtesy of Deadline.com, for an upcoming series based on the adventures of DC’s magical confidence man John Constantine.
The series is set to be written and executive produced by Daniel Cerone (The Mentalist) and David S. Goyer, co-writer of all of the recent DC movies like The Dark Knight and Man of Steel.

So, let’s take a look into the depths of our pull lists, grab some comics, and we’ll let YOU know what the top books to look forward to are for the week of May 8, 2013. I hope you all had a pleasant Free Comic Book Day, but there’s no rest around here. It’s another week and we’ve got another stack of new books for you to check out. This week has a whole heap of demons and monsters, with some good old fashioned mutants mixed in for good measure. But fear not, reading this week’s selections won’t make you a bad person. Quite the opposite, actually. The only thing that will make you a bad person is if you choose to ignore this week’s GoD List!
