‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’: Death Troopers Prank Disney Store Customers
  |  @   |

To help promote the recently released Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, a little prank was set up involving some Death Troopers and some customers at a Disney Store.

Nothing complicated about this one, folks. It’s simply some Death Trooper statues set up in a Disney store and the people who discover they are not really statues. Classic. Or a brand new twist on the Mannequin Challenge if you’re super young and don’t remember classic stuff! Either way, the best part is seeing the reactions and interactions involving some of the kids.

‘Rogue One’s Saw Gerrera To Appear In ‘Star Wars Rebels’
  |  @   |

Eagle-eyed Star Wars Rebels fans were able to point out some of the cameos that were made in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. From The Ghost, the show’s flagship transporter, to Chopper, the crew’s droid with an attitude, it was fun to see that even the animated show characters get a little nod. Now it looks like one of them will be paying a visit to the animated show. Rumors started to swirl that Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) could appear in a sequel or another Star Wars film. It’s unlikely that Jyn would make an appearance unless the writers have something else up their sleeve, but one character that is confirmed to appear is one we’ve already seen in the Clone Wars animated series.

According to a trailer, Saw Gerrera will be back for an upcoming episode of Star Wars Rebels, and he will be voiced by none other than Forest Whitaker. Check out more on the story below.

‘Firefly’ Star Alan Tudyk Talks Playing K-2SO In ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’
  |  @   |

The latest Star Wars movie, and the first spinoff from the numbered series, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story may not have had the same kind of opening weekend The Force Awakens had. As Disney expected. But The Force Awakens had the best domestic opening of all time and went on to become the new all-time domestic box office king, so that’s no great shock to anyone at all. But that’s not to say the movie had a bad opening. Quite the contrary. It scored a $155 million domestic opening—the second best for a Star Wars movie and the 12th best all-time—and nearly $135 million foreign for a $290 million worldwide total. Now we can only wait to see how high it will rise in the all-time rankings.

While we wait for that, here’s a short video well worth giving a watch. In it, Firefly star Alan Tudyk talks about playing the droid K-2SO in Rogue One. This includes figuring out the right voice to use, walking around on stilts, and more. You can check it out below.

Yes, There Was Unused Original ‘Star Wars’ Footage In ‘Rogue One’
  |  @   |

Apparently plenty of you rebelled over the weekend as Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was the number one film, grossing over $290 million worldwide. Many critics were overjoyed by Lucasfilm’s first Star Wars spinoff praising it for being new by mixing in the old — the new being focusing on the untold story of how the plans to the Death Star were stolen, the old being seeing digitized classic characters from the original trilogy. But the old also included some unused footage – that many of us didn’t even notice at the time – from the original 1977 film Star Wars: A New Hope. Check out the full story below. Minor spoilers follow. There’s your only warning.
