‘Crysis 2’ Is Most Pirated Game Of 2011; ‘Fast Five’ Tops Movies

TorrentFreak has released a rundown of the most pirated video games and movies of 2011.

Topping the list of games is the PC version of German developer Crytek’s hit sequel Crysis 2 with 3.92 million downloads, which is something of a surprise considering how many huge titles were released last year. It was followed by a much more expected name in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which was downloaded 3.65 million times for the PC. Battlefield 3, FIFA 12, and Portal 2 rounded out the PC list.

‘Source Code’ Coming To The Small Screen?

Ever want to watch the same episode of a TV show over and over again, but as if it were new every single time? Yeah, now you may have your wish.

Joking aside, THR is reporting that CBS has picked up a pitch from Mark Gordon, producer of the Duncan Jones film Source Code, which would see the show be converted into a new running TV series. The show will follow “three former federal agents who are part of a top-secret program. Each week, they’ll use “Source Code” technology to jump into the consciousness of people involved in tragic events.”

‘Source Code’ Writer Hired For ‘Flatliners’ Remake

Sony has signed Ben Ripley, who wrote the screenplay for the Duncan Jones mind-bender Source Code, to pen a remake of the 1990 film Flatliners, which starred Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, and William Baldwin.

The original Joel Schumacher film centered on a group of medical students conducting near-death experiments.

Laurence Mark will produce the new film, which Deadline reports will be “a contemporary reimagining.” Right, remake, exactly, except let me guess: the group uses the Internet — better yet, Facebook! — to conduct the experiments!
