Jeremy Renner Sings About Hawkeye’s Powers On ‘The Tonight Show’ (Video)
  |

Sometimes the underrated characters turn out to be the ones we remember the most. Maybe Jeremy Renner hasn’t had much to do in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so far as the wisecracking ace archer Hawkeye, but early reviews of the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron have listed Renner’s performance and the greater attention paid to his character as one of the film’s better qualities.

Just to prove how cool he and the Hawk both really are, Renner paid a recent visit to The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to sing a lovely song about the struggles he faces being the most unappreciated Avenger of them all, set to the tune of Ed Sheeran‘s “Thinking Out Loud.”

Jimmy Fallon & The Roots Freestyle Love Songs For Valentine’s Day
  |  @   |

On The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this week, host Jimmy Fallon held a very special Valentine’s Day Edition of “Freestylin’ with The Roots.”

Asking some guiding questions from members of his audience, Fallon showcased his biggest Tonight Show asset, its house band, The Roots, a musical outfit that I have asserted before might be the greatest band in the world.

Watch the videos here below of “Freestylin’ with The Roots: Valentine’s Day Edition.”

‘Fifty Shades’ Star Dakota Johnson, Jimmy Fallon Make Anything Sexy (Video)
  |  @   |

On the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon last night, Jimmy Fallon welcomed the other half of everyone’s soon-to-be favorite romance/bondage movie. Dakota Johnson, one of the stars of Fifty Shades of Grey, joined the host for a segment called “Anything Can Be Sexy,” where they each read an inherently unsexy sentence from a stack of six cards in their most sexiest, come-hitherest voice.

Watch the video of this here below.

Fallon’s lines included a sexy take on, “Mesa called Jar Jar Binks. Mesa your humble servant.” Hot! Fallon declared he was “steaming up the lens a little bit” with that one. His other two lines were very sultry asking where to buy worms and Gold Bond powder. Johnson highlighted why she was the perfect choice for the vulnerable yet sexy Anastasia Steele, her character from Fifty Shades. She winked and giggled a bit after her each of her three lines and ended with a hair toss flourish. Her lines included subjects like old sweatpants, a fanny pack, and Red Lobster.

Jimmy Fallon and Will Smith Beatbox “It Takes Two” With iPad App (Video)
  |  @   |

Last night on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, guest Will Smith and host Jimmy Fallon delighted viewers with their beatboxing/technology mashup skills by performing “It Takes Two” with just their voices and an iPad.

Fallon, self-dubbing himself a “classically trained beatboxer,” brought out his iPad to demonstrate a looper app which allows you to put down a few tracks on top of each other, known as recorded layering. Will Smith and “J-Fal” laid down the parts to rap “It Takes Two” by Rob Base and DJ E-Z Rock. Tonight Show house band The Roots joined in after a few measures.

Jimmy Fallon Recreates ‘Fresh Prince’ Opening Sequence (Video)
  |  @   |

Jimmy Fallon, The Tonight Show host and lip-syncing, superlative-making, barbershop quartet-ing, face-balling, lip-flipping uber fan, kicked off his week in sunny LA today with a frame-by-frame recreation of the opening sequence to the The Fresh Prince of Bel Air TV show theme song. In Fallon’s parody, the former SNL cast member tells the story of how he became host of the long-running late night talk show and why he’s bringing The Tonight Show from its current home at Studio 6B at Rockefeller Center in New York City to Los Angeles, CA, its former home for nearly 42 years.

Check out the video here below.

The parody, complete with Higgins in the “Mom” getup and his Tonight Show house band The Roots, also has cameos by Fresh Prince alumns, DJ Jazzy Jeff and Alfonso Ribeiro (Carlton Banks). Guess what dance he does in this video?
