Happy Halloween, boos and ghouls! What better way to celebrate this most haunted of holidays than with a bit of the supernatural…in book form, of course. I present to you the one and only Joe Ledger: Unstoppable. This anthology of supernatural suspense and horrific thrills is based around the detective, government clean up guy, and all around badass: Mr. Joe Ledger. Known for his paranormal and supernatural excursions, our hero is never afraid to make sure the buck stops here. As a matter of fact, he has plenty of ways to make sure the dead stay that way, or at least they will after a few tries.
Last month Deadpool star Ed Skrein decided to walk away from the upcoming Hellboy reboot after backlash over his being cast to play Major Ben Daimio, a Japanese-American character.
Now comes word that a new actor has been chosen for the role. Daniel Dae Kim, best known for his roles in LOST and Hawaii Five-O, has entered into negotiations for the role.
The Hellboy reboot has found its Blood Queen. It’s being reported that Milla Jovovich is in final talks to take on the role. The movie was originally said to be titled Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, but it appears now that they may not be using that subtitle anymore.
Jovovich joins Stranger Things star David Harbour and Deadwood and American Gods star Ian McShane on the cast.
Another actor has signed on to star in the Hellboy reboot, titled Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, as it’s been announced that Deadwood and American Gods star Ian McShane has joined the cast.
The actor is set to play Professor Broom, the adoptive father of Hellboy. The character was played by the late, great John Hurt in 2004’s Hellboy and 2008’s Hellboy: The Golden Army, both directed by Guillermo del Toro and starring Ron Perlman in the title role.
UPDATE: We’ve learned that the title for the reboot will simply be Hellboy, the same as the original 2004 film.
It’s being reported that Lionsgate is in the final stages of negotiations to distribute the Hellboy reboot, titled Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen.
The movie already has a star and director set. David Harbour, who is one of the stars of Netflix’s Stranger Things, is set to take over the role of Hellboy; while Neil Marshall (The Descent, Game of Thrones) will direct. The original 2004 movie adaptation and its 2008 sequel, Hellboy: The Golden Army, starred Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy, Blade II) in the title role with Guillermo del Toro (Pacific Rim, Crimson Peak) directing.
