The theatrical trailer for J.J. Abram’s monster movie Cloverfield is now online exclusively at Apple Trailers and is available in standard and high definition formats.
Cloverfield was originally just the film’s working title and was also known as 1-18-08 and Slusho. It was announced earlier this month that Cloverfield would be the movie’s official title and the final title is shown at the end of the new trailer.
Cloverfield is scheduled for release on January 18, 2008. The trailer is currently running in previews before theatrical showings of Beowulf.
Filming for Cloverfield began in New York in mid-June and the cast includes relative unknowns Michael Stahl-David, Odet Jasmin, Mike Vogel, and Lizzy Kaplan.
Drew Goddard wrote the script; Matt Reeves is directing; and J.J. Abrams is producing the film for Paramount through his Bad Robot production company.
I hope this is as good as it looks.
It looks very cool. But I really hope this doesn’t get swallowed by it’s own overexposure. Fingers crossed…
