The long-awaited fourth installment of the Indiana Jones franchise will be titled Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

The title was revealed at tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas by actor Shia LaBeouf, who stars in the upcoming film along with Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett, Ray Winstone, John Hurt, Karen Allen, and Jim Broadbent.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, directed by Steven Spielberg and executive produced by George Lucas, will be released in theaters May 22, 2008.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was one of the six titles for the fourth film that Paramount registered last month.
