The Nathan Fillion/Alan Tudyk Q&A session at Dragon*Con 2008 felt more like well scripted banter. These guys are obviously close friends and it showed. The two gave something away to everyone who asked a questions.
One piece of newsworthy information came during the panel session, concerning a question about a sequel to the much acclaimed Serenity movie. A fan asked if Tudyk if his character would be included and possibly come back as a clone (considering the events at the end of the original movie).
Absolutely, I believe Buffy died twice. I think that would be a great thing to do because I would have to go learn all the things that I knew before… If we ever did make another installment of this movie, we would both [Tudyk and Fillion] be in it. I don’t know how he’d [director Joss Whedon] do it but he’s very good at bringing them back from the dead.”
Whedon, who created the TV series Firefly and directed its movie spin-off Serenity, said recently that he’d do another Serenity movie “in a heartbeat,” but at this time, he does not have any financial or studio backing for such a project.
Another Firefly panel is scheduled for tomorrow with additional cast members. Stay tuned for more updates.
OMG if I had 50 Million for a Serenity 2 you would just give it to these guys to make more films… you;d get your money back in DVD sales to Fanboys alone
