Now this is my kind of wedding party. Imagine this: you’re hanging out at the reception, having a drink, waiting for the newlyweds to arrive for the party. They’ve tied the knot, said their vows, and the bride looks stunning in her gown. All of a sudden, the band rips into some metal… the newlyweds walk in, and the groom takes the vocals, and the bride begins beating down on the drums to the tune of Metallica‘s “Master of Puppets.”
How awesome is that? And the best part? It’s real – check out the video at the bottom of this post!
The metal drumming bride is Annette Ortiz-Diaz, who has played with bands Fatal Posporos, Random Ninjas, and Half Past Two. Her husband, who shreds the axe and brings the vocal noise in the video, is Dennis Diaz, who fronted an all-Asian Metallica tribute band called – get this – TRAPPED UNDER RICE.
This is perhaps the best Metallica tribute band name ever and I would pay both cash and personal body parts to see them live. Yes. I mean every word of this.
Check it out and watch them kick much ass – Annette jumps on the drums at the 1:00 mark.
