20th Century Fox has unleashed an extended international trailer for Ridley Scott‘s anticipated return to the science-fiction genre, Prometheus. The above image is a holographic glimpse of a Space Jockey. Where’s he going? What’s the rush?
He’s probably going to check out this amazing new trailer, which features tons of new footage and further elaborates on the film’s plot. A pair of archaeologists (Noomi Rapace and Logan Marshall-Green) have discovered the same pictogram among ancient civilizations with no shared contact, unveiling a star map with coordinates that could lead to mankind’s origins.
And so we’re off to search for our creators. Aboard the exploratory vessel Prometheus, a Weyland-Yutani executive (Charlize Theron) introduces herself to the crew, “I’m Meredith Vickers and it’s my job to make sure you do yours.”
Vickers is overseeing the scientific expedition and while skeptical of its success, gives explicit orders to Shaw (Rapace) and Holloway (Marshall-Green), “Let’s say I’m wrong and you do find these beings down there. You won’t engage them. You won’t talk to them. You’ll do nothing but report back to me.”
An alarmed Holloway enquires, “Ms. Vickers is there an agenda that you’re not telling us about?” The android David (Michael Fassbender) poses a question which lies at the heart of the film’s them, “How far would you go to get your answers?”
This trailer is quite revelatory in what it shows, so if you’re trying to avoid spoilers then you might want to skip this one – but I still believe there are many secrets left to discover regarding Ridley Scott’s upcoming film.
If you do take the plunge, keep an eye out for a scene reminiscent of the trash compactor sequence from Star Wars. Clearly the Alien DNA is present and accounted for.
As if Prometheus wasn’t my most anticipated film of the year already. Honestly, I couldn’t care less about The Dark Knight Rises compared to Scott’s pseudo-prequel to 1979’s Alien. June 8th can’t get here soon enough!

We’ve seen this movie before and Ridley Scott also directed it. Alien… as pointed out in the article. Not sure if I want to see this or not..

Ok so I just noticed that this is a prequel…now I feel like a tool. Carry on nothing to see here.
