Yesterday the highly anticipated trailer for the upcoming Godzilla was released and was received most favorably by fans everywhere (you can check out that trailer here).

Now, the Japanese trailer and the television spot have been released via Toho and it is indeed a treat! Though the trailer is shorter than its American counterpart, there is a few seconds of additional footage that you’ll notice including a quick shot of co-star Ken Watanabe. Additionally, seeing the Toho logo at the very beginning of the trailer and hearing the announcer proclaim “Gojira” at the end certainly adds some gravitas to this already great teaser.

Godzilla, directed by Gareth Edwards (Monsters), hits theaters everywhere May 16th, 2014 and marks the iconic kaiju’s first return to the big screen since 2004’s Godzilla: Final Wars.
