Fox Walden has sent us a high-res version of the updated poster for their upcoming fantasy adventure, The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising, which opens in theaters October 5, 2007.
Click on the image below for view the poster in high-res format. The poster, along with the film’s trailers, posters, billboards, cardboard cutouts, and other advertising materials are part of the Seek The Signs online quest. Find the 6 symbols hidden within these materials, then plugged them at the Seek The Signs site to unlock exclusive content.
Watch the trailer at Apple Trailers, I suggest watching the 720P high-defintion version. (Hint: Symbols appear three-quarters of the way in. Pause trailer, then click the “forward play” button to watch it slowly and find the signs.)
Those who are playing along online can embed a Seeker Badge to their own sites, which track the sequences you unlock. The badge design has been updated since the quest officially began. (View my new badge here after the jump and my old here.)
Also, MTV has posted the third intern Webisode: Escape To Budapest
Directed by David Cunningham, the Fox-Walden film — based on the book by Susan Cooper — stars Ian McShane, Alexander Ludwig, Frances Conroy, Gregory Smith, and Christopher Eccleston.
My updated Seeker Badge below says I’ve unlocked 2 of 7 sequences, but when I signed in at the official site, it says I unlocked 2 of 8. The site is planning to add more content as the quest continues.

Wow! My name’s Eve too, so that made me do a double-take. I thought it might have been my own badge.
No plans to see the movie, though. I read the books, and I’ve read about what they’ve done to the books. It’s a pity they didn’t care more about making a good adaptation than they do about marketing a bad one.

Eve, you couldn’t have said it better. Walden/Fox figured they’d put their efforts into marketing and not give a fig about “those few fans of the moldy, outdated, boring book,” as they apparently perceived it. Since they don’t care about us, why should be care about their lame movie?
