As you all know, Star Wars will always and forever be massively popular and ripe for fan alterations. Most of them are rarely worth a peek, but sometimes one comes along that’s not to be missed. We have one of those for you here today.
The video comes by way of funfunfunfunfunfive on YouTube, and it simply takes an iconic scene from The Empire Strikes Back and modifies it to look like it was produced as a silent film from the 1920s. As far as sci-fi goes, the most notable film from the silent film era is Metropolis, which is finally coming our way on DVD and Blu-ray this fall, but you have to admit, Star Wars does look like it would have been pretty awesome back then.
If you’re interested in seeing exactly how this would have looked back in the roaring ’20s, don’t be shy and click on over to the other side now!
Best part of the video is the piano version of the Imperial March… I’m a big Disney fan, so it reminds me of the Haunted Mansion. Anyone know where you can that audio clip?
