Yesterday, the first image of some of the dwarves — Nori, Ori, and Dori — from director Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit.
Now, two more dwarves has been revealed with a first look at brothers Oin and Gloin from The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Check out the photo above.
The photo shows John Callen as Oin and Peter Hambleton as Gloin.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits theaters on December 14, 2012 with its second part, The Hobbit: There and Back Again, to be released a year later on December 13, 2013.
Here’s the official description of the image:
Distant cousins of Thorin Oakenshield, these two doughty Northern Dwarves join the Company out of a sense of loyalty to their kin, and also because they have a substantial sum of money invested in the venture. Along with Bombur, Gloin is the only other married Dwarf in the Company (there being a shortage of female dwarves in general). His wife is an acclaimed beauty with a particularly fine beard. Gloin is the proud father of a young son, Gimli, who will go on to become part of the famous Fellowship of the Ring.

I’m actually glad Del Toro is off of this now. Having Jackson back puts him back where he belongs. This is looking pretty sweet so far.

Is it just me or do they look more like Klingons than dwarves?

a) The family resemblance for Glóin is striking…
b) … the axe even more so.
