We haven’t heard a whole lot about the new TV series based on The Incredible Hulk currently being developed by Hellboy and Pan’s Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro and Battlestar Galactica executive producer David Eick. And, unfortunately, we’ll have to continue waiting for something juicy.
But Mr. del Toro did take the time out of working on his next film, Pacific Rim, to drop a little update on Del Toro Films, the writer, director, and producer’s official fansite.
You can check out what he had to say below.
Del Toro touched on who’s inspired him in the development of the show, as well as why he’s drawn to superheroes with monster–like qualities to them.
We’ve been coming up with an angle that is really strong. I am a fan of Peter David, Pak and Loeb but I like very much what individual writers and artists have done through the decades. I only gravitate to “monster” superheroes–(Blade, Hellboy, Deadman, Hulk-) because I have no interest on the straight ones–even when I’ve been offered the keys to the kingdom.
Hope you enjoy what you hear!!

No word yet on when we can expect to see the new Incredible Hulk TV series become hit the small screen.

TV Hulk is going to have the same design and CG model from the Avengers to cut costs but not the same actor.

This should be an EPIC reimagining of the jade giant, especially since GDT is at the helm!
