Video: A Look At The Music & Voice Acting Of ‘Skyrim’

Another day, another new video for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
Today brings an excellent new look into both the music and voice acting of the game. And though previous previews have looked at the music and voice acting before, this particular video answers an important looming question and even shows off some new gameplay footage.

We’ve obviously known for a long time now that Skyrim was aiming to become the biggest and best game out there, but one of the complaints of the previous installment in the series, Oblivion, was that many of the non-playable characters sounded too much alike. Main characters had specific voices, but when it came to those you would meet in passing or of a lesser importance, only about 12 voice actors did all of the work. This meant that the males and females of each race had identical voices, and it was a tad off-putting.
Thankfully that’s been remedied now; over 70 voice actors were brought in for well over 100 roles, including some big names who are shown recording in the video below.
