With the success of Moneyball, baseball movies appear to as popular as ever, and WB knows exactly that fact.
According to Variety, the studio’s upcoming baseball picture Trouble With The Curve has just added Justin Timberlake to its cast, which also includes Clint Eastwood and Amy Adams.
Directed by Robert Lorenz, the film follows an aging scout who takes his daughter on one last trip with him to Atlanta. This joins yet another really interesting project for Timberlake, the Coen Brothers’ upcoming film, Inside Llewyn Davis.
Now, while I’m not immensely impressed with what Timberlake has done on screen, this type of project may be just what he needed. He’ll play a love interest for Adams, and their work together will hopefully spark a great little film. Honestly, I’m just a little glad that Eastwood isn’t behind the director’s chair for this one. Hopefully we’ll get something better than J. Edgar.
