‘Vice’ Trailer: Adam McKay’s Latest Transforms Christian Bale Into An Infamous VP

Christian Bale has done a few things to get into character. He lost enough weight to become nothing but skin and bone in The Machinist. He bulked up for The Dark Knight trilogy. Now he will do something that is opposite all of that and become almost unrecognizable. Gain weight to become Vice President Dick Cheney.
A new trailer for Adam McKay‘s Vice has just been released by Annapurna Pictures, and it gives us a glimpse at another possible awards contender. Check out the trailer below.

WB Projected To Lose Up To $100 Million On ‘Justice League’

Justice League‘s disappointing turn out at the box office last weekend could give way to a huge financial blow to Warner Bros. Normally, a film that grossed $94 million would be a cause for celebration. But when you factor in the cost of production and promotional material, a low $94 million is not even enough to cover a fraction of the overall film. In fact, Justice League is already lined up to becoming the lowest grossing DCEU film since the universe was launched back in 2013.
These low numbers could have a negative impact on the future of the DCEU has a whole. More on the story below.

Justice League

It’s easy to go into watching Justice League with very low expectations considering how the entire DCEU is filled with bad to god-awful films, with the exception of Wonder Woman. That film was a huge step forward in the right direction for the superhero universe, as it used themes of hope and optimism to do some course correction.
But with Justice League looking like it did in the trailers, one would think that the film would be a step back. However, that isn’t the case. While it is flawed, Justice League has a lighter tone, is funnier, and isn’t as bleak as some of its predecessors. That being said, it is a DCEU film. But at least it is a DCEU film that takes another step in the right direction. Check out my full review below.

‘Justice League’: Get To Know Aquaman, Cyborg, and Danny Elfman’s Music

Justice League won’t have the standard build-up to the team-up we’ve all be expecting. Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman were already introduced in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Wonder Woman, but Justice League will be the first time that we will be seeing Aquaman, Cyborg, and The Flash. Of course, we can find out all about these characters through a simple internet search, but the film will probably interpret their origins differently. So, through a series of promotional videos, we will learn about the heroes that make up the Justice League in the weeks leading up to the film’s release.
Also, since Danny Elfman will be composing the score for Justice League, you can hear a sample of his music below.

‘Justice League’ Tracking For A $110 Million Opening

Justice League is only a few more weeks away from being released, and the anticipation is high for the DC superhero ensemble. Of course, the DCEU does have somewhat of a stigma with most of the films being flat out bad. This year’s Wonder Woman put an end to that streak, and it looks like Justice League can continue that turnaround.
Reports are estimating that the film could have a $110 million-plus opening weekend, which would be fairly impressive for a franchise that seems to be just getting out of the hole it dug itself into. More on the story below.

‘Justice League’ Runtime Reportedly Won’t Be As Exhausting As You Think

Zack Snyder films are near visual epics that could care less about the narrative. And that is okay for some. But they can be exhausting to watch if they have a very long runtime. While that may be true for most of his films, his departure from Justice League left many wondering if Joss Whedon, his replacement, will change anything.

‘Justice League’ Featurette Puts Together A Superhero Team

Featurettes are a nice piece of marketing material that goes behind the scenes of your favorite films. And for Justice League, we are getting a look at the newest superhero ensemble and the person that helped bring them all together.
In what will probably the first of many, this featurette takes a look at the dynamics between members of the team, their motivation, history, and more. While there is not a whole lot of new footage to look at, it’s great to see that the cast has some chemistry with each other. Because they’ll need that with all the mixed reactions the trailers have been getting. Check out the latest Justice League featurette below.

‘Arrival’ Getting Re-Released For Your Pre-Oscars Viewing Pleasure

Now that the Oscar nominations have been announced, studios will be making an effort to get audiences to watch some of the films that have earned nominations in some of the top categories.
One move that they generally do is to re-release a film in theaters for a limited time. It’s been done many times before, and Paramount will do it for Arrival. The Denis Villeneuve sci-fi film has been nominated for eight Academy Awards, including Best Picture. However, it managed to snub Amy Adams, for whatever reason I cannot figure out why. But find out more about the re-release below.
