Spectre Dave Bautista as Mr. Hinx

Back in January we found out that Watchmen, 300, and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder was heading back to the zombie apocalypse with a movie titled Army of the Dead. Snyder is no stranger to the walking dead, having directed the Dawn of the Dead remake in 2004.

The first to join the cast of the movie—which will be a zombie heist thriller following a man who, after a zombie outbreak in Vegas, assembles a team to go into a dangerous quarantined area in hopes of scoring a big payday—was Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Endgame, and Spectre star Dave Bautista. And now four more have joined the cast with Ella Purnell, Ana De La Reguera, Theo Rossi, and Huma Qureshi signing on to star.

Justice League

And so begins another episode of the tiresome saga of Zack Snyder version of Justice League that never was. Everyone has their thoughts on the matter, with devoted fans demanding that Warner Bros. release the co-called “Snyder Cut.” It is a cut that they believe exists from before he had to exit to address some personal matters. Though many behind the scenes have said it doesn’t exist to begin with, it’s unclear if the film would have made it any better (or worse). But one thing is for sure: we aren’t going to get it.

And now Snyder reveals why. According to him, the original Justice League script was never shot. More on the report below.

Justice League

Zack Snyder‘s true vision for Justice League never came to fruition. Designed as a two-part film, Justice League would be the first time that DC heroes banded together to fight off cosmic threats. Unfortunately, lackluster films that came before it forced the two parts to become one part. Not only that, but Snyder left the project after principal photography, leaving Joss Whedon to take care of the post-production work. But with all of the last-minute reshoots and mustache gate, the film ended up being a major disappointment. Which is probably why many asked to see a Snyder cut well after it failed to meet expectations.

But never let it be said that Snyder did not have a bold vision for the DCEU. In fact, what was rumored to be a two-part film in the very beginning was actually a trilogy. At least, according to Kevin Smith. More on this below.

Zack Snyder On Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Set

We haven’t heard much from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Watchmen, and 300 director Zack Snyder since he had to depart as the director of Justice League in May of 2017.

Now Snyder is back with a new project, a zombie heist horror-thriller titled Army of the Dead, which is set up at Netflix. Snyder says it’s the first time he has free rein to do whatever he wants with a movie, and describes the project as “something fun and epic and crazy and bonkers in the best possible way.”

Aquaman

This isn’t as shocking as getting doused with a cold bucket of water, but Aquaman is getting a sequel. The film is already on track to earn $65 million in its opening weekend. Additionally, positive early reviews have shown that this is the movie to watch this holiday. So it comes as no surprise that a sequel is “in development.” More on the report below.
