Once in a blue moon, Mondo has this ingenious idea of making their exclusive posters available for everyone. As you can imagine, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for any fan of their artwork, who doesn’t have the time, isn’t around a computer at the time of release, or has a slow internet connection, as the ability to purchase one of them. Sure they may not be as exclusive as their original releases, but they are still fine pieces of artwork to hang on your wall. Last year, Mondo released Olly Moss‘ minimalist poster for The Dark Knight Rises for an entire day; now they will do it again for Man of Steel.
Martin Ansin‘s piece will be a part of that release. His piece will go on sale for an entire 72 hours, and will be available for purchase Thursday night at midnight, ample time for anyone who wants one of them. There is also another piece by Ken Taylor, seen in the header image above. His piece will not be a part of that day in a half release; instead, it will be released as any other Mondo poster would. Both pieces will have variant versions. Hit the jump for specs for each poster.
Taylor’s piece are sized at 24″³ x 36″³. The regular will be an edition of 300 and is priced at $50 while the variant is an edition of 150, and will be priced at $75
Ansin’s “Metropolis” is sized at 24″³ x 36″³. The regular will be an edition of a tbd number, and it will be priced at $50, while the variant will be an edition of 100, and will cost $300 100 (Metal Variant)
Both versions of Taylor’s piece will go on sale on Thursday, July 13, at a random time.
Ansin’s regular edition will be on sale for 72 hours, so no official word on the final edition number. However, there will only be a limited number of variant items on sale, which will be available for purchase at a random time on Friday June 14.
As suggested, watch the Mondo Twitter page no matter where you go, as that is where Mondo makes its “on sale now” announcements.
