Hands On With Sony’s Oculus Rift Competitor Project Morpheus (Video)
The news that Facebook has acquired Oculus VR, makers of the Oculus Rift virtual reality headset, for $2 billion has many who were excited by the product in a frenzy of disappointment and doubt. But, whether you think the acquisition was a bad move or you’re still optimistic about the Oculus, there are other VR products on the way to keep an eye on. Sony, for example, has one currently being developed for their PlayStation 4 called Project Morpheus, and they’re currently showing the technology off at the 2014 Game Developers Conference.
The company, quite smartly, has released a pair of new videos showing off Project Morpheus. The first is a hands-on preview video, and the second is their entire hour-long GDC ’14 presentation, which talks in depth about their vision for virtual reality moving forward and what you can expect from Morpheus. Marvel Previews: ‘Elektra #1,’ ‘Ultimate FF #1’ & The Spider-Verse!

The Future Foundation is back rising from the Cataclysm of the Ultimate universe with a new team made up of Tony Stark, Sam Wilson, Sue Storm, and Machine Man. In the first arc, Doctor Doom joins the team as well. Could this be the return of the brain trust that Reed Richards hinted at in the first issue of Survive? Ultimate FF #1, the start of a new series from writer Joshua Hale Fialkov and artist Mario Guevara, hits shelves on April 16, 2014.

‘The Raid 2’ Deleted Scene and Clip Show How Bloody Rival Gangs and Car Chases Can Be

The Raid 2 is just one of those action films that you have to watch this year. Following the events of the first Raid, Rama (Iko Uwais) is now assigned to be an undercover cop who has to infiltrate one of Indonesia’s most dangerous crime families. In an effort to keep everyone he loves safe, Rama agrees to the assignment, not knowing how dangerous or how deep he has to go underground.
I usually refrain from posting clips, but having seen the movie already — and one of the clips being shown is actually a deleted scene — I think it will be okay. If anything, these clips don’t even cover how bloody The Raid 2 really is. And honestly, with a 150-minute run time, I think I can understand why director Gareth Evans may have excluded the rival gang shootout scene. So hit the jump to check them out.
