There’s already plenty of mods that have been made available for Fallout 4 in the couple of months it’s been available, most to enhance the game aesthetically for those who play on PC. Eventually the plan is to even make mods available on consoles, though we’ll have to wait and see just how that works.
One such mod actually gives the game the four seasons, spring, summer, fall, and yes, even winter. The game does offer a dynamic weather system, something not seen much in previous Fallout games, but no snow. This is a bit surprising given the Boston and surrounding areas setting (I live fairly close to Boston and am dealing with January in both real life and my game—it’s just a wee bit chillier here in the real world). As for the other seasons, the spring and summer make Fallout 4 look a lot more like the post-apocalypse of The Last of Us, in which nature has reclaimed the world.
You can see a video of this mod in action, including plenty of comparisons to the original game to see how different it looks with the mod installed.
If interested you can find lots and lots and lots of previous Fallout coverage right here, including trailers and gameplay demos and much more.
If you haven’t yet purchased a copy of Fallout 4 and are thinking about picking it up (which you totally should do immediately), it can be acquired on PC if you want to immediately add mods like this one, or you can also grab a copy for either Xbox One or PlayStation 4 if you play on a console and want to wait to see how mods work out there.
The video comes from YouTube user hodilton, and you can find more Fallout 4 mod videos there such as Water Enhanced and Photorealistic Wasteland. You can also find videos of mods for other games there, such as Skyrim and The Witcher 3.
