Release Date: October 16th, 2015 Horror is a genre that lends itself to anthology probably better than any; whether it be short story compilations from the greats of the genre, from Lovecraft and Poe, to Barker and King, or classic cinematic anthologies like Trilogy of Terror and Tales From the Crypt. These have paved the way for a new generation of short story style scare films. Collections like Trick ‘r Treat (2007), and the more recent V/H/S and ABC’s of Death series have provided fans of blood and gore a wealth of fun times. If you’re a fan of any of those above mentioned films, then Tales of Halloween is definitely worth your time and money.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
35th Anniversary Blu-ray Edition
Directed by Jim Sharman

Fox Home Entertainment
Release Date: October 19, 2010 It was great when it all began
I was a regular Frankie fan Now Frankie fans can rejoice, because The Rocky Horror Picture Show is out on Blu-ray and there’s loads of features that will make you feel like you’re back in the theater, shouting along to the 1975 cult classic. From the beginning, fans of the horror rock musical would flock to midnight showings dressed as the characters and act out scenes along with what was playing on the screen. There was also extensive ad-libbing, as well as the 4D-type experience: throwing rice during the wedding sequence; holding up a newspaper during rain scene. It’s these little touches that have been passed along for over three decades that make the film so special. So, you might ask, why buy the Blu-ray when the real experience is seeing it in the theater amongst with other fans? Aside from the obvious issue of there possibly not being a screening near you, along with seeing it in high definition, there’s also the fact that the movie holds up all on its own. It’s got great rock and roll tunes, a wacky scifi/horror element, and of course, that flamboyant, yet sweet transvestite Frank-N-Furter, played marvelously by Tim Curry.

Walt Disney Pictures Home Entertainment
Release Date: September 16, 2008 101 Dalmatians 2: Patch’s London Adventure takes place right before the epilogue of its 1961 predecessor with Roger and Anita Radcliffe and their 101 dalmatians getting ready to move from their London flat to a large farm in the country dubbed “Dalmatian Plantation” (the same as the tune from the first movie). As with original animated 101 Dalmatians, the adult male dalmatian Pongo begins the narration of this 2003 direct-to-video sequel, which sees the Radcliffe clan accidentally leaving behind the adventure-seeking puppy Patch on moving day. Feeling like he’s nothing more than one out of 101, Patch decides not to find his family, but instead head into the city for an audition for his favorite TV show Thunderbolt Adventure Hour, which stars the title superhero German Shepherd who Patch idolizes.
