| Disney’s Streaming ‘Star Wars’ Show To Be A $100 Million Production Effort
Disney’s Star Wars TV slate will be expanding beyond the traditional TV broadcast format. In addition to the anime-style Star Wars: Resistance, which will air on The Disney Channel, there is also the live-action series which will air on Disney’s streaming service. We’ve known that Jon Favreau will be working on the series, but no other information about it has been provided… until now. There’s a new report that says the untitled series will have a $100 million production price tag, making it one of the most expensive shows to produce next to HBO’s Game Of Thrones and other big budget shows. Additionally, there is a rumor that says the live-action show could be about the Outer Rim planet Mandalore – the home planet of characters like Jango Fett, Boba Fett, and Sabine. | Jon Favreau To Develop ‘Star Wars’ Series For Disney’s Streaming Service
There are new details emerging about the content that will be seen on Disney’s yet-to-be-named streaming service. The service will launch in 2019 and provide customers with content from a wide-range of Disney properties from Disney itself to Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm. Earlier this year, Disney CEO Bob Iger talked about the number of Star Wars original shows that would be created specifically for the direct-to-consumer platform. While he wasn’t able to talk in great detail about what we would see in these new shows, he did say that the level of talent would be significant. And now we are learning just how significant it will be. Lucasfilm has just announced that Jon Favreau will be an executive producer on one of the Star Wars series that can be streamed exclusively on Disney’s streaming service. More on the story below.

| Details On What You Will See On Disney’s Streaming Service
Disney will be launching their new streaming service next year, and details as to what we will see on it are starting to surface.
