Each and every week “The Second City Saint” Henchman21 and “The Murfreesboro Madman” MK2FAC3 read a lot of comics. Seriously you guys, a lot of comics. Maybe too many comics. I mean, it is possible. They look forward to some more than others, I mean, who doesn’t? On last week’s The GoD List, the evil Henchman21 messed up his death trap when he mistakenly put boiling hot voile into a pit that was to fill with boiling hot oil, but this week he has developed another dastardly plan to destroy the dynamic MK2FAC3. This week, “Two Ton Twenty-One” tries to abolish “THE FAC3″ when he’s strapped into an egg chair and is forced to listen to nothing but 70’s and 80’s prog rock until he sinks into a Floyd Hole. Will “THE FAC3″ be able to escape the demented deathtrap of “THE HENCH”? Or will “THE SECOND CITY SAINT” finally be able to exact revenge for “THE WEEK OF TWO FAC3S”?

You can give this edition of The GoD List a CGC rating of 9.6, as long as you promise not to read it.

It’s been a few years since we last saw Alan Moore‘s League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, but today we got our first glimpse of the next book in the series with the cover for League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Century: 1969.

Top Shelf released the psychedelic cover from series artist Kevin O’Neill, which features… some collection of characters? I guess. It’s hard to tell at this point, although I have to assume the character in the middle is Mina Murray, which means the light-haired gentlemen would be Allan Quatermain, and I don’t know who the dark haired gentlemen is. What the release of the image does tell us is that the story looks to be on set for release some time next year.

As I tweeted this morning, “April Fool’s Day online: A day when everyone tries but fails miserably to be The Onion.” Most jokes just aren’t funny, but every year, a gag story stands out amongst the nonsense that’s so well-received that the public demands it become a reality. Remember ThinkGeek‘s infamous Tauntaun Sleep Bag of 2009? [That was an April Fools joke gone right; I even own one!]

I do believe that Comics Alliance has come up with the must-have April Fools project of 2010 with their imagining of the next installment of Alan Moore and Kevin O’Neill’s League of Extraordinary Gentlemen graphic novel series: League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: America 1988.

While the original League has fictional Victorian-era characters like Dracula‘s Mina Murray and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea‘s Captain Nemo, the America 1988 version has 1980s icons from American pop culture: Lisa, the doll brought to life from Weird Science; Angus MacGyver from MacGyver; Dr. Emmett “Doc” Brown from Back To The Future; B.A. Baracus from The A-Team; and Jack Burton from Big Trouble In Little China.
