The Ramones Meet The Warriors

Artist Nathan Stapley created an awesome mash-up of punk rock legends The Ramones meeting The Warriors, the NYC gang from the movie The Warriors

Stapley piece, titled “The Ramones Meet The Warriors,” was part of a Gallery1988 Venice art show and is a selection from the artist’s “Same Gang” series.

Warriors Baseball

The t-shirt deal of the day over at RIPT Apparel today is The Warriors-themed shirt called “Warriors Baseball” by artist Heartjack.

The shirt went on sale at RIPT today, Wednesday, July 20, 2011, at midnight CST, and will continue for 24 hours from then, and once it’s over, it will not be sold on the site anymore.

The Breakfast Club as Archie ComicsArtist Brian McLachlan decided to create a few comic book covers for some movie favorites, one of which has the characters from the John Hughes film The Breakfast Club drawn up as an Archie comic.

The Warriors (1979)The original Warriors standing on the boardwalk in Coney Island, Brooklyn.

Tony Scott (True Romance, Domino) is helming a remake of the 1979 cult classic The Warriors for MTV and Paramount Studios. Scott confirmed that none of the original characters will be featured in his updated version, with the exception of Cyrus, who is murdered in the first 10 minutes of the movie. The flamboyant look of the gangs will also be nixed for a more realistic Bloods and Crips feel and, unlike the original, which was set in a vaguely futuristic New York City, it will take place very much in the present, on the streets of Long Beach, California.
