Updated ‘Twilight’ Poster + Details On The Film’s Reshoots

Updated 'Twilight' PosterTwo weeks ago, we reported that Summit Entertainment had moved up the release date for Twilight to November 21, 2008, from its original December 12th date (see “˜Twilight’ Moved to November 2008!).

Now, Summit has updated the movie poster to reflect the November date change. Click on the image here at right for the full version of the updated poster.

In other Twilight news, EW reports that director Catherine Hardwicke is currently doing reshoots for the film. Typically, “reshoot” spells disaster for a soon-to-released movie, but that’s not the case for Twilight, which faced a lot of problems due to the weather during its original 44-day production in Oregon. The issue with the weather is something that Hardwicke has mentioned numerous times in interviews and behind-the-scenes clips.

The current reshoots will allow Hardwicke capture new footage of the meadow, Jacob, and parts dealing with the Cullens’ backstory, as well as update a scene where Edward (Robert Pattinson) performs “Bella’s Lullaby.” When originally filmed, Pattinson improved his own music, but in the new footage, he’s playing the real song, written by film composer Carter Burwell. While Pattinson didn’t write the lullaby as previously planned, the director confirmed that two of Pattinson’s songs were recorded last month and will be featured in Twilight.

But that’s not all. Hardwicke also reshot the bedroom scene of Edward and Bella (Kristen Stewart) kissing, which had not been completed due to the then-17-year-old Stewart’s school schedule.

Referring to the reshoots, Hardwicke said, “It’s all just icing on the cake.”

  2. Thanks for the updates! I can’t wait to see if this movie lives up to my expectations. As the date draw near I am getting more anxious to see how plays out on the big screen. I really hope they get the meadow seen perfect. Being the only scene in the movie that Edward sparkles in the sunlight it has to be just right or it will ruin the movie.

  3. I can’t wait for this movie! I am so glad that they’re adding more scenes which means more Rob! Also, I don’t really care whether he wrote Bella’s Lullaby or not so as long as it’s featured in the film. Plus, two of his original work is in the movie so what else can we ask for? I think we are getting more than we deserve and I am so thankful for it.

Sparkling vegetarian vampires = EPIC WIN!

Personally I’m glad they’re adding more. It’ll only make it better and I can’t wait for the movie.
