Rex, the Tyrannosaurus Rex from the Toy Story films, is a misunderstood dinosaur. Although he is in the form of a terrifying tyrannosaurus rex, the toy is hilariously skiddish and has a heart of gold. But after taking a back seat for so long, Rex is finally getting a short of his own. Check out the image preview here below of this short, titled Partysaurus Rex, which will be attached to the Finding Nemo 3D re-release.
Here’s what Partysaurus Rex director Mark Walsh (animator for previous Pixar films like Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Ratatouille) told Entertainment Weekly:
“If you’re a bath toy you get really intense playtime. It’s like a party. Then when the water goes down you can’t move. You’re helpless. And that’s pathetic, these guys in bottom of the tub all the time.”
Wallace Shawn, the actor who voices Rex, said this about Rex being the star of his very own short.
“He’s sick of being the angel of goodness and sensibleness and caution and fear. He wants to stand on the side of pleasure and happiness and joy. “¦ I live this drama every day of my life!”
Partysaurus Rex is attached to the Finding Nemo 3D re-release, which opens in theaters on September 14.

oooo looks cute.I think putting it in front of Finding Nemo 3D is a good call since it doesn’t seem to be the more ‘poetic’ Pixar shorts we are used to seeing.
