Head’s up tomorrow if you’re heading into a major city, there’s going to be zombie outbreaks to contend with!
In a stunt for AMC’s upcoming series The Walking Dead, several zombie outbreaks will occur in 26 major cities around major landmarks throughout the United States and internationally, starting at daybreak tomorrow.
In my area, an event will be staged at New York’s Brooklyn Bridge, while the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C.; Big Ben in London; the Prado Museum in Madrid; the Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul; and the Acropolis in Athens will also be hit during this global zombie invasion.
Check out the list below of the cities being invaded tomorrow.
The stunts will start overseas beginning at daybreak in Taipei and Hong Kong on Tuesday, October 26, and continue in the other cities, finishing up at the show’s Los Angeles premiere.
The events are being organized by AMC in the United States and Fox International Channels (FIC) internationally.
The Walking Dead premieres on AMC on Halloween, Sunday, October 31 at 10 p.m. ET/9 p.m., and will premiere globally on Fox International Channels (FIC) a few hours after the U.S. premiere. The show, based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, follows the survivors of a zombie apocalypse and will have six episodes in its first season.

There is no way one of these actors doesn’t take a shot to the head. I hope there’s someone with them to reassure by-standers this is all a gag.

I’m really looking forward to this show.
And I’m noticing Zombies seems to be an “in” thing right now – witness: http://sears.com/zombies
(!!) Yeah, because Sears is known for their sense of the whimsical! Anyway, bravo to whoever pulled it off (and hopefully it hangs around at least until halloween).

They were definitely on my subway ride in to work yesterday in
Boston.. And the Zombie “handlers” were hilarious.. handing out rub-on tattoo Flesh Wounds to some 50 something woman on her way to work.. I’m sure she’s now a Walking Dead convert ;)
