Never let it be said that studios will let cash cows die.
Without having even released as much as a trailer for the upcoming second film in the rebooted Clash Of The Titans franchise, THR has learned that WB is already setting the wheels in motion for a third feature.
Writers Dan Mazeau and David Leslie Johnson will pen the screenplay, which would follow the continuing tales of Sam Worthington’s Perseus.
Personally, while it’s still a long ways away, and hell, given the first film’s poor critical response, the second may ultimately flop leaving this one out in the cold, but I still think a good tale could be mined from here. Hopes aren’t insanely high, particularly if someone like Louis Leterrier couldn’t do the job with the first feature, but who knows. Given the right director and right story, this thing could ultimately be a winner. Stranger things have happened.
