With a jetpack fueled by insomnia and an easily amused mind, It Came From The Interwebs scours and sifts through everything that has ever appeared on the internet (more or less) to find a few things that you should know about every week. These things come from the interwebs, hence the clever name.

This Week: Hobo Puppets, Tank Demolition, The Church of Shatner, and Licking in a Lift, plus shout out to MCA.

1. The Church of the Shat

No, this didn’t come from William Shatner’s masturbatorium, but rather it was constructed by AidanT, a DeviantArt community member.

2. Proper Tank Use

When the decision was made to tear down a 150-year-old house in Kasota, Minnesota naturally the owners turned to the people at “Drive a Tank,” a company that lets civilians, well, drive a tank. What you’re seeing in the video above is a 1960’s British tank demolishing a house in about 30 minutes. Go ahead, replay it.

4. Please Lick the Wallpaper

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a case of strep throat? According to That’s Nerdilicious, it took 4 weeks to engineer the lickable wallpaper that lines a London elevator. What are they licking? A dangerous question, but the answer is Jaffa Cakes, and apparently if you lick one it gets taken down… sure it does.

5. Super Villain or Clown?

Sometimes, they’re not both. Rex Velvet is a self-proclaimed super villain who is opposing real-life costumed “hero” Phoenix Jones, a vigilante crime fighter based out of Seattle. Velvet wants Jones to stand down and let the cops handle things, but he also told me that he’s training an army of ornery kittens to go after Jones. Yup, you read that right. 6. The Art of Movement — MCA

The sad death of Adam Yauch, aka MCA, on Friday hit a lot of us, so I thought it only right to stray from the usual “The Art of Movement” tomfoolery and throw the video for “Ch-Check It Out” up as this week’s example of dance and music. RIP MCA.
