For Red Nose Day this year, designer Stella McCartney, daughter of Paul McCartney, has created five charity t-shirts, one of which features a photo of The Beatles taken by her late mother, Linda McCartney.
The Beatles photo on the shirt is doctored to show the Fab Four with red nose and glasses on, in honor of the March 15th event, which includes a telethon to raise funds that will go to provide fresh water and life-saving vaccines in Africa, as well as help those in the UK who are homeless or living with domestic abuse. Red Nose Day is part of the British charity organization Comic Relief.
Along with The Beatles selection, McCartney’s designs, which are featured on Fairtrade, organic cotton t-shirts, also include one each for Marilyn Monroe, Tommy Cooper, and Kate Moss, as well as one for kids with a giraffe on it.
Visit the Red Nose Day store or TK Maxx to purchase these shirts. It looks like they only deliver to the UK, which is a total bummer because while browsing around the two shops, I found that there’s also a Homewares shop for Red Nose Day, and I really dig what I see, especially that tote bag. If you’re in the UK, get in on these items, as they’re not just cool-looking, but the money goes towards a great cause.
