After weeks of debating whether or not to move this film to a 2014 release, Martin Scorsese‘s The Wolf Of Wall Street is being rescheduled for a Christmas release, which still puts it in contention for some Oscars. Yes Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit was bumped for a first quarter 2014 release, but honestly, The Wolf Of Wall Street is the film everyone has their eyes on.
Leonardo DiCaprio reunites with Scorsese once again for this factual story based on the life of Jordan Belfort, an ambitious young stock broker who at the tender age of 22 launched his very own multi-million dollar stock broking company using very questionable and illegal methods. Jonah Hill joins the cast as Donnie Azoff, an eager assistant who immediately quits his job to work alongside Belfort. But these are only two actors of a very large ensemble cast that looks like it will be one a lot of people’s top ten spot. Hit the jump to see the trailer.
While this trailer does seem a bit more subdued than the last, it still has enough energy, humor, and trailer moments to pique your interest. DiCaprio and Hill look like they have such great chemistry in the film, that I hope there is a supercut of them just bantering on the special features of the Blu-ray. And who knows if this was the actual trailer that was supposed to be released if the film’s release date was bumped to 2014.
The Wolf Of Wall Street also stars Kyle Chandler, Matthew McConaughey, Jean Dujardin, Margot Robbie, Jon Bernthal, and Rob Reiner.
