Last night, TBS aired the “Conan In Cuba” special oversized episode of Conan, which documented host Conan O’Brien‘s historic trip to Cuba to become the first late night host in 50 years to film a show in that country.
The network has released a bunch of highlight clips from the episode, which saw O’Brien dancing and interacting with the people of Cuba, as well as visiting a rum museum and making Cuban cigars.

Of course, this being Coco, there was also a lot of self-deprecation, humiliation, and trying to convince the people of Cuba that he’s really a big star back in Los Estados Unidos.
The talk show host and his Conan crew visited Cuba last month during the long Presidents’ Day weekend, where they spent four days shooting footage all around the city of Havana for the TBS special. On several episodes of the show since his return, O’Brien has talked about his time there, saying it was one of the best experiences of his life.
The special was made possible in part by the fact that after over fifty years of the United States having an embargo against Cuba, U.S. President Obama announced earlier in the year plans for the U.S. to start easing sanctions against the communist Caribbean country.
