Air date: Monday, July 17th, 2017, 9pm Spoilers below for last night’s episode of Preacher! Previously on AMC’s Preacher, the search for God carried our three heroes to New Orleans. Jesse (Dominic Cooper) cruised jazz clubs, running into sultry blonde Lara Featherstone (Julie Ann Emery). He rescued her from a van full of white clad goons, and rescued himself from her advances. Tulip’s past caught up to her via an army of henchmen that brought her to Viktor (Paul Ben-Victor). Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) finally caved and revealed to Jesse that Tulip (Ruth Negga) was missing, which set Jesse off on a crusade. He unleashed the power of Genesis to save Tulip from Viktor… her husband. Meanwhile, Jesse’s jealousy, fear, and rage all distracted him from the fact that The Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish) tracked Genesis, and he was quickly approaching. Spoilers below for last’s night episode of Preacher.

Air date: Monday, July 10th, 2017, 9pm Spoilers below for last night’s episode of Preacher! Last week on AMC’s Preacher, the gang hit Bourbon Street in the jazz capital of the world looking for God. Jesse (Dominic Cooper) was left alone and getting frustrated when he got a tip to check out a lounge act, a sultry blonde named Lara Featherstone (Julie Ann Emery). Her attempts to flee Jesse land her in hot water as she’s kidnapped by a crew of white-clad thugs. Jesse uses the combination of Genesis and kickass fighting skills to rescue her, though we find out later, there is more to Lara than meets the eye. The real crux of last week’s episode was Tulip (Ruth Negga) and her anxiety at being back in New Orleans. She does NOT want to be there, her past is catching up to her, and at the end she has this cathartic moment where she seems to accept any fate coming her way. That fate is a goon squad sent by tonight’s titular baddie, Viktor. Check out my review of tonight’s episode of Preacher below.

Air date: Monday, July 3rd, 2017, 9pm Preacher‘s second season started off with a bang with a back to back night extravaganza last week on AMC. Not hesitating for a minute, Sunday night’s premiere opened with an epic 10-minutes that saw our heroic trio of force carrying Preacher, Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), his partner in crime and occasional lover Tulip (Ruth Negga) and Irish Vampire sidekick Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) engage in a bloody explosive laden shoot out with the Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish). He is sent from Hell to kill Jesse to stop Genesis, the all powerful force that possesses him. Meanwhile, the trio is evading death from the Saint, while chasing down God who has disappeared. After a trek through Texas to the Mumbai Sky Tower casino, they encounter rogue angel Fiore (Tom Brooke) and get a lead on God, to the jazz capital of the world, New Orleans. This is bad news for Tulip as her past is rapidly catching up to her. Through two episodes, Preacher has been suitably epic. Laugh out loud funny, shockingly poignant and emotional, and brutally violent and bloody, the chase for God continues… Check out my review of Preacher episode 3 below.

Air date: Monday, June 26th, 2017, 9pm Preacher‘s second season on AMC is NOT wasting time with two episodes in two nights. The opening ten minutes of Sunday night’s premiere was just awesome, combining all the elements that Preacher fans have come to expect; quick witted dialogue, hellacious and gory violence, and screwball comedy. Jesse (Dominic Cooper), Tulip (Ruth Negga) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) are on the road searching for God. Meanwhile the Saint of Killers (Graham McTavish) is searching for them, and he’s leaving no stone unturned. The trio ended up in a fleabag motel and in a touching moment, Jesse literally broke down the door for Tulip. But alas, you can’t relax for long when you’re being stalked by a cowboy from Hell. WARNING: Spoilers for Episode 2.2 of Preacher….

Air date: Sunday, June 25th, 2017, 9pm Finally! Preacher returns to AMC for Season 2 and Preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), Tulip (Ruth Negga), and Irish vampire Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) are, as the title suggest, “on the road.” Last season, Jesse was possessed by Genesis, an all powerful half-godly/half-demonic force. It’s so powerful that angels from Heaven came looking for him and it, and they’re hilariously unsuccessful at retrieving it. Jesse feeling revitalized by the power of Genesis tries to save his small Texas town of Annville and bring them the voice of God himself, except for one problem: God is missing. Annville finds this out full force when a methane gas explosion wipes out everyone in the town except for three who happen to be eating at a roadside diner on the outskirt of town”¦ you guessed who. The search for God begins”¦ NOW.
