Disney released the first trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story a few months back, and it really set the tone for the spinoff. Despite some of the controversy surrounding it, director Gareth Edwards and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy have assured everyone that the film will be up to everyone’s expectations and that the ground war theme will still be there as they promised.

With Star Wars Celebration coming, we can probably expect to see some new footage and even a new trailer. It is just something that comes with these conventions. Normally these trailers can only be seen at the conventions and are leaked online. However, it appears that everyone will be able to get to see the new trailer for Rogue One. At this point, we should be used to writing news about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. This week alone it was confirmed that Darth Vader would be “looming” in the film and that he will be voiced by James Earl Jones. We finally got some character descriptions as well. Then came images of Stormtroopers storming beaches. Just recently the truths about the rumored reshoots were revealed to be an over exaggeration.

It is almost hard to believe that with the number of reports that have come out surrounding Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, there hasn’t been a trailer. Cross your fingers we will see something come out of Star Wars Celebration next month. But in the meantime there is still the matter of addressing those reshoots that will be taking place.

So yesterday news broke about Darth Vader being in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Given that the standalone film would take place in between the events of Episode III and moments before Episode IV, it would make some sense to at least acknowledge the Dark Lord of the Sith. But just as James Earl Jones reprised his voice role as Darth Vader in Star Wars Rebels, he is doing so once again in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.
