Tom Cruise Wants You To Turn Off Motion Smoothing Feature On Your TVs
|
 |

You may not notice it at first, but there is a feature on your TV that may prevent you from watching films in the best quality available. It is called motion smoothing, and the best way to describe it is that it makes what you are watching look like a soap opera. What it does is artificially increase the frame rate to a higher speed, so it forcefully inserts frames into the film so that there is no blur.
A lot of filmmakers have rallied against this feature and have been trying their best to work with TV manufacturers to get it off. While general audiences may not care for it at first, it looks like the anti-motion smoothing movement needed a bit more star power. Enter, Tom Cruise. The Mission: Impossible actor and Mission: Impossible – Fallout director Christopher McQuarrie recently released a video to try to bring this to the public’s attention in hopes that they can convince fans of their film, and any other films, to watch them in the best available quality. Check out their video below.

Christopher McQuarrie Addresses ‘Man Of Steel 2’ and ‘Green Lantern’ Rumors

Warner Bros. has put another Superman film on the back burner. The film has struggled to get even a sequel announcement and now that Henry Cavill will no longer play Superman, it seems very unlikely we will ever get a Man of Steel 2. The only possible person who could have prevented this all from happening was Mission: Impossible – Fallout director Christopher McQuarrie. The filmmaker had worked with Cavill on the latest Mission: Impossible film, and even talked to the actor about a possible sequel. However, nothing came of it.
But this wouldn’t be the first time that he has been approached to direct a DCEU film. A new interview also reveals that he was also in the mix to direct Green Lantern. More on the report below.

‘Mission: Impossible – Fallout’ Super Bowl Spot & Trailer: Tom Cruise Proves No Stunt Is Too Dangerous For Him

As promised, Paramount has released our first look at Mission: Impossible – Fallout with a Super Bowl spot and a full trailer. Tom Cruise, who reprises his role as agent Ethan Hunt, reunites with his Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation director Christopher McQuarrie. And based on the film’s poster, which debuted last week, the sequel will live up to the death-defying stunts that the MI films are largely known for.
