| Watch Dick Cheney As Darth Vader On ‘The Tonight Show’Jay Leno just reminded me why only grandparents think he’s hip by having former VP Dick Cheney dress up as Darth Vader for a recent segment of The Tonight Show, which you can watch here below. Simply put, I don’t think Darth Vader is quite villainous enough for old, dark Dick. If Cheney really wants to look like the villain he is, I think he should don the Penguin costume. He’s already got the voice.

| Conan O’Brien Beats Out Jay Leno, David Letterman & Everyone Else In Debut
Not that it’s much of a shocking result, but Conan O’Brien‘s brand new late night talk show on TBS, Conan, debuted last night to big results. The show brought in higher ratings than all other late night contenders, including Jay Leno and his Tonight Show, David Letterman and his Late Show, John Stewart‘s Daily Show, and all others. Conan lured 4.2 million sets of eyeballs (3.3 million in the coveted ages 18-49 demographic) to his new show, while Leno had 3.5 million and Letterman had 3.4 million. Even more interestingly perhaps, is that the median average age of O’Briens viewers was 30 years old, while competition Leno’s median age was 59 and Letterman’s was 53. It’s becoming more and more clear what late night shows the Fox News crowd is into.

| Drumroll Please… Conan O’Brien’s New Show Will Be On TBS
Well now — no one saw this one coming. After all of that madness with NBC, The Tonight Show, and Jay Leno ended with Conan O’Brien without a job, we all knew he would eventually end up somewhere else. At the time, and equally as much since then, it appeared that the likely destination of O’Brien would be Fox, who had been trying to break into the late night talk show game for a long while now and had been courting the popular host. It would appear now that something did not go right, as TBS has sent out a press release reporting that they have officially acquired Conan for a new show that will begin in November. The show will air Monday through Thursday at 11PM and will be followed by George Lopez’s Lopez Tonight, which will move back to the 12AM time slot. This sets up what many think to be a strong 1-2 combo for the TBS late night lineup. Head on over to the other side to see a brief video ad for the new show.

| Conan O’Brien To Go On Tour For His Fans Before Choosing New Job?
By now you all know the drama that went down between NBC and The Tonight Show host Conan O’Brien recently, and how the host was pretty much run out of town so that former host Jay Leno could reclaim his throne. After NBC and Conan reached an agreed upon settlement, part of the deal was that O’Brien would have to wait until Fall before reaching a deal with another network. Many fans wept as the thought of being without the funniest man of the many late night talk show hosts for such an extended period of time, but now comes word that we may just not have to wait that long.

| Make This Happen! Tilda Swinton Says She Would Gladly Play Conan O’Brien |
|
Now that all of that NBC drama with Conan O’Brien, Jay Leno, and The Tonight Show is finally over, everyone can begin to move on. This doesn’t mean that fun can’t still be had, and what better way to keep Conan around for as long as possible than allowing bits of his show to spill over into real life? Over his many years at NBC, Conan has compared his own physical appearance to other people and things…typically women such as President of Finland Tarja Halonen and distinguished Academy Award-winning actress Tilda Swinton. In fact, O’Brien ended his show with a little note that if HBO ever decides to make a movie based on his life, he’d want Swinton to play him. While promoting her new movie I Am Love at the Sundance Film Festival, Movieline got right on this and made sure to ask the actress if she would take on this career-making role, to which she playfully accepted with glee. Continue reading on to see exactly what Swinton had to say.
