Little Nightmares II

A sequel to one of the best games of 2017, Little Nightmares, was announced for Gamescom 2019.

The sequel, simply titled Little Nightmares II, was announced with a trailer which revealed that the primary antagonist from the first game, Six, would be returning. But in a bit of a twist, we see that there will be a second character as well, implying that the game might have a co-op element. Also revealed is that the follow-up will take us away from the horrifying setting of the first game, The Maw, to new locations, and that there will be some combat situations.

Little Nightmares #2

There’s still plenty of goodies from E3 2017 to share, but while we take a break from video games for a moment, it’s an excellent time to share a little bit of news related to…well, video games! It’s been announced that the recent indie hit Little Nightmares is now being turned into a television series.

The series is being developed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo along with DJ2 Entertainment, who is currently working on multiple video game adaptations such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Life is Strange. But perhaps most exciting about the potential TV series? Henry Selick, the director behind stop-motion favorites such as The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline, is attached to direct the pilot episode and maybe more episodes after that.

Little Nightmares #1

Little Nightmares
AVAILABLE ON: Xbox One, PS4, PC
DEVELOPER: Tarsier Studios
PUBLISHER: Bandai Namco
RELEASE DATE: April 28, 2017

We’ve seen some impressive previews of the indie horror Little Nightmares, so I was excited to dive in and try not to die. Spoiler alert: I died. Lots.

In the game, you play as a tiny little girl named Six. And when I say tiny, I do mean tiny. She looks like she weighs only a few pounds, as you can see in the images. Small and seemingly helpless, Six is also all alone in this dark, depressing little world known as The Maw. Why you’re there, how you got there in the first place, why you’re alone, where you need to go—none of these things are known. You simply start the game by getting up, and beginning to make your way through this terrible place, navigating its many dangers on your journey.
