Last week on Arrow, Oliver (Stephen Amell) tried to end the blood feud between Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) and Oliver’s “wife” Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law). Nyssa wanted Oliver to kill Merlyn in exchange for Thea’s (Willa Holland) cure. Oliver tried a diplomatic approach, but that did not work. Merlyn attacked, so Oliver cut off his hand and gave Nyssa the ring. Nyssa, proving her to be the better person, melted the ring to get rid of the bad legacy. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) realized her dad was the foe from the previous week, and wanted to trust him, but tested it first. He failed.

Warning! Do not proceed if you haven’t seen the fall finale!
The fall finale of Arrow last month ended in bullets and blood. It started out as a simple retaliation episode – Darhk (Neal McDonough) attacks a community event with children involved. Oliver (Stephen Amell) outs him to the media and thus the world. Darhk kidnaps Thea, Felicity, and Diggle (Willa Holland, Emily Bett Rickards, and David Ramsey) with the intent to gas them to death. Oliver, Laurel (Katie Cassidy), and Merlyn (John Barrowman) save them and Merlyn seems to blow Darhk up. Things almost seem happy. Lance and Felicity’s mom (Paul Blackthorne and Charlotte Ross) are an item, and Oliver proposes. Then… their limo is attacked, Felicity is shot, and Darhk is alive. What?!?!?!?
Caught up?

Last week on Arrow, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) showed Lance (Paul Blackthorne) that Sara (Caity Lotz) was alive – chained up, animilistic, wildling, but alive. He goes to Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) for advice who seems almost a friend, and advises him to put her down. He almost goes through with it in a heartwrenching moment, but Laurel is able to talk him down. At the end though, Sara escaped. Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) is still not getting the hint that Ray is trying to communicate with her through her phone, even though Holt (Echo Kellum) tells her it’s coming from inside Palmer Tech. She is reluctant to listen to Ray’s last words but gives in. There was a little storyline involving corrupt cops, but I felt like that was background to the other stuff. The gang has a new lair, and after some hemming and hawing, Oliver (Stephen Amell) formerly announced his candidacy for mayor of Star City.
