Jumanji: The Next Level

Whenever a success like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle comes along, you can be sure studio execs will greenlight a sequel almost immediately. Now fans can get another chance to jump back into the game with Jumanji: The Next Level, which Sony Pictures has released a new trailer for. The sequel brings the gang (Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Ser’Darius Blain, and Morgan Turner) back together again when they are forced to enter the game in order to save one of their own. However, this comes with a few complications as some of them are not the avatars they played as when they played the first time.

Now with these new challenges, and some geriatric help, the gang will go on an all new adventure that will take them to unseen locations, meet all new characters, and face greater dangers. Check out the trailer below.

Jumanji The Next Level

2017’s Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle was the surprise hit no one expected. Through its good nature, charms, and family-friendliness, it turned out to be one of the biggest hits of that year. As such, it deserved a sequel. Given that the original started off as a board game, which then went to a video game, it would be interesting to see where Jumanji: The Next Level could go. But it looks like director Jake Kasdan and writers Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner have cracked the code.

Because in this new installment, those teenagers would be returning to the world of a digital Jumanji once more. But in a new twist, they are bringing some geriatric support, along with a few twists that change the characters from the first once more. Check out the trailer here below.

When I was a kid there was no greater 2-hour block of TV than 3:00 – 5:00 after school on FOX. It was 4 straight kickass cartoons, all of which launched me into action figure glory. The shows were She-Ra, He-Man, Thundercats, and Voltron. As for Voltron, memories of my Dad dashing around Brooklyn to various Toys R-Us locations in an effort get me all five lion toys that together would combine to form Voltron. In my house phrases like “I’ll form the head”, and “Form blazing sword” were common speak. Nearly 30 years later, Netflix has brought the series into its growing array of original programing with an 11-episode opening season that premiered on Netflix just this week. The show features the voice talents of Tyler Labine (Tucker and Dale vs. Evil), Jeremy Shada (Adventure Time), Bex Taylor-Klaus (MTV’s Scream), Josh Keaton (Green Lantern: The Animated Series), and Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead).

Spoilers for episode 1 of Voltron: Legendary Defender
