Warner Brothers has released the first trailer for Creed, the spinoff to the Rocky franchise focusing on Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan), the son of Rocky Balboa’s former foe and eventual best friend Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), who was killed in his fight against Ivan Drago before Adonis was born. Despite not knowing his father, Adonis is also a boxer who ends up heading to Philly to train with Rocky (once again played by Sylvester Stallone). | ‘Creed’ Official Synopsis Hits Rocky Fans
Warner Brothers and MGM released the official synopsis for Creed, the Rocky spinoff set to hit theaters this November. This time, the fighter who needs focus is Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan, The Fantastic Four), the son of the late “master of disaster” Apollo Creed. So who do you turn to when you want to become the greatest fighter in the world? The Italian Stallion, Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), of course. Check out the full official synopsis for Creed here below. No word on what the “deadly” is in the synopsis that Balboa will be facing. We can assume it is an illness or injury. But what I think we can definitely look forward to is an inspirational underdog story, including a workout montage with music that will make you want to go back to the gym. And isn’t that all we really want from Rocky?

| Fans Run Up ‘Rocky’ Steps, Find Real Rocky There (Image)
Since the release of Rocky in 1977 and its sequels lots and lots and lots of people have run up the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, just as Rocky himself (played by Sylvester Stallone) did as part of his training regiment in the movies. There’s even a statue there that was used in Rocky III. Recently a group of friends visiting Philly did the same thing all of these other fans of the movies have done. But instead of finding just steps or the Rocky statue, this particular group of friends found the real Rocky, Stallone himself, there. You can check out the picture they took of the encounter below.
