If you haven’t had a chance to watch any of Bat in the Sun’s “Super Power Beat Down” series on YouTube, now is the time! Created by filmmaker Aaron Schoenke, these short action videos depict battles — fought by real actors — between some of the greatest comic book, television, video game, and movie characters around. The outcomes, based on fan vote, are filmed in high quality, expertly choreographed mini-episodes.

The latest episode pits DC’s Nightwing (portrayed by Schoenke) against Marvel’s Winter Soldier (portrayed by John Morrison). Check out the latest episode of “Super Power Beat Down” below.

As part of their Super Power Beat Down series, Machinima Prime has pitted two juggernauts against each other, DC Comics’ Batman vs. Darth Vader from Star Wars.

The setup is that Vader has the Kryptonian prisoner Superman locked away on the Death Star when the Dark Knight shows up to find, free from captivity, and extract Superman from the moon-sized space station. In his attempt, Batman comes face to face with Vader and the battle is on!

In the vast digital expanse that is the internet, there exist many awesome things. And if you are a subscriber to any social media sites, you’ve probably seen a good bit of them. But every once in a while I am shown something that makes me wonder where I’ve been and why my friends never mentioned it. Case in point: Super Power Beat Down from Machinima.

This live action series takes characters from a wide variety of sources and pits them against one another. But to make things as unbiased as possible, the final result of who wins is determined through fan voting. So while I might not completely agree with a particular outcome, the votes were tallied and the masses have spoken.
