
Michael Winterbottom is to music what Michael Bay is to supermodels. No one is better at inserting it into a motion picture. Steeping each of his films in a great sense of style both visually as well as sonically (see 9 Songs), it should come as no shock that the filmmaker is looking to direct a picture revolving around one of music’s most iconic entities: The Beatles.
The Playlist is reporting that Winterbottom (who last helmed The Trip, a film that will be the subject of a DVD review coming to GoD early next week), is set to helm The Longest Cocktail Party, a film based off of a Richard DiLello book of the same name.
