As most of you Twilight fans know, Summit Entertainment had a Twilight panel at this year’s San Diego Comic Con this weekend (see SDCC 08: Summit Entertainment’s “˜Twilight’). On the Con floor, there also a Twilight booth, which had freebies, contests, and a chance to get your picture taken with cardboard cut-outs of the stars from the upcoming film.
It’s safe to say the Twilight booth was one of the more frequented ones at the Con. I mean, the whole place was a madhouse, but that booth did real well this weekend. I fought my way over to it to see what kind of swag I could get my hands on. I missed out on the t-shirts, but I did snag a small poster and trading card sample set for myself and also for my niece … and extra ones for you guys who didn’t get a chance to go to the Con.
I have five extra sets of the Twilight trading card samples. If you want a pack, then just leave a comment here telling me why you think the Twilight movie will be awesome. I’ll pick 5 winners from those who leave a comment on this entry and one person will also get one of the posters.
The poster is the previously released teaser poster of Bella and Edward (see it here).
There are four cards that come in the pack; you can see images of them here above (actual card looks much better, I’m still on the road without a scanner so I had to take a picture of the cards just so you could see what they look like). Each pack contains the same four cards. The back of the cards have character bios and quotes. These cards are just a sample from the premium trading card collection from Inkworks, which goes on sale November 2008. The full collection will include scenes from the movie, character cards, and more. In addition to the base set, the collection will contain randomly inserted bonus cards.
And I want all of you Twilight fans out there to know that I braved some crowd to grab these items and did so twice. But, it was worth it, especially since the second time I went I was given a ticket to get a shirt at the Paramount booth (don’t ask me why, but this practice is fairly common at the Con), so I walked away also with an Indiana Jones t-shirt (yes!).
Ok, now start commenting for you chance to win! I’ll pick the winners in a few days when I’m done traveling and back in the real world. I’ll update the post to let you all know. Good luck!
Dear GOD(.com),
I’m truly blessed by you. Everything I know, feel, love, think, dream and pray about stems from you.
And as you know and have planned for eons, the time has arrived. The Second Coming of Christ can wait.
Twilight is upon us.
The ground shall tremble in the stampede of pubescent chicks driven to watch pale people leap-frog through the woods.
Twilight is upon us.
May earth’s denizens find shelter against a torrential river of blood (synchronized she-cycles).
Twilight is upon us.
Sisters wrought with Edwardian obsessions, when given GOD(.com)’s free swag, should be able to forgive their thoughtful brother of any past sins.
Twilight is upon us.
Eternally gratefully,
That brother,
Your son,
A reader,
Me!
AMEN

It’s another adaptation of a book to a movie, why wouldn’t it be awesome? The characters are incredibly well developed, and the plot hooks you at first “bite.”

Hrm… well. its twilight.. a cult classic with in the first couple of years half way to being the next harry potter and starting out of the gate with movies a bit quicker… the casting is perfect the love story is perfect and even if the movie turns out NOT to be awesome we will all go see it again just to gawk at the chemistry between Edward and Bella that we have dreamed of when first setting eyes on the words that made up the romance that is epically destroying Ginny and Harry, Ron and Hermione, Ross and Rachel, heck even to the standards of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy….quite possibly Romeo and Juliet.Nothing is better than forbidden romance…book or movie….and thats why it will rock….

There is a spirit to the books, a vivid feel to everything that both grabs the reader, and presents itself as a film in the imagination, if not the big screen. It seemed inevitable for a film to be made, if the success warranted it – and it has. The books are a phenomenon, and I usually veer away from such, but these books are addictive, mesmerizing, and impossible to put down. I am happy by the choice of actors, and director, and even screenplay writer – and pleased that Stephenie Meyer has taken a role in the film. I think Rob Pattison and Kristin Stewart will be wonderful as Edward and Bella – and I look forward to seeing how the supporting characters (and actors) bring those key players to life. I predict a new film saga, in the vein of LOTR, Potter, Star Wars – this time one I think I’ll find myself signing onto, for each opening night.

My 13-year-old son (yes, my son!) got me to read the Twilight series and now we enjoy listening to the book CDs together. We’ll be there for the midnight showing together. The books and the movie(s – hopefully plural) have really made it so that my son and I could come together and enjoy something that not many parents get to do with their kids. It’s been a very exciting time for us! And there are many more (including this Friday night for the Breaking Dawn release!) to come! For that, I am eternally thankful to Stephenie Meyer and Summit Entertainment!

I think the movie will be a wonderful representation of the book. What makes the story so great is that these characters are not perfect. They all have their flaws. They want to do the right things but each of them has a different interpretation of what the right thing is. I think the cast is going to be amazing in the film. From the sneak peeks we have seen, they seem to really inhabit the characters. You can see that they have inner turmoils as well as intense feelings for each other. I can’t wait to see the entire thing brought to life! It’s an amazing thing for all of the fans that Summit has been so great about sticking to Stephenie Meyer’s vision and not going off in some other crazy direction. I hope Summit decides to pick up adaptations for the other 3 books as well so we can all have a complete series on film. Thanks for picking up the great stuff from Comic-Con for those of us who couldn’t make it. You were brave to face those crowds twice!!

The twillight movie will be awesome because it is based on the book by the all time best author ever…STEPHENIE MEYER! Her imagination brought these so real scharacters to life that oddly, everyone seems to be able to really relate to.Also because of the character’s relationship. Bella and Edward want each other sooo badly but they know it is also dangerous to be together. That will be great to have in a movie and Robert PAttinson and Kristen Stewart have some chemistry in real life too which will def. make the cutt! Plus who else to play a better jacob than taylor lautner! He is perfect! (Im till team edward though) he! Even thought, we know from the trailers so far that some things are a little off from the book, it makes us and everyone else want to see it for sure becuase we want to see how the movie will relate with the book!
Even if you dont choose me I want to thank you soo much for doing such a nice thing. It must not have been easy going thru dat huge crowd twice. Good luck to everyone and as long as those cards go to a TWILIGHTER ill be okay!

Twilight is a influence for many people to read more and express yourself. It has also inspired me to right more of my own material. The movie will reach out to even more people. It has such a great cast, a great author, and great producers/directors. Taylor, Robert, Kristen, Catherine, and Stephanie combined will make Twilight the Movie break records. With Twilight, anything is possible.
Comment by Marianne — July 28, 2008 @ 1:58 pm
The movie is rapidly following in the tradition of great literary adaptations. It’s not necessarily that the books are works of great literary art, but its that on some level they have managed to pierce something deep inside the soul. They capture those basic of human emotions love, freedom, pain, jealousy, fear, joy, anger, lust, but most of all…choice.
It is because of these basic tenants that the film will become a smash hit, so long as it embraces those themes that drove the book into the hearts of a generation of girls (and from what I have seen it has)…it will be an unstoppable box office success.
Comment by Nicole — July 28, 2008 @ 2:09 pm
I know Twilight will be awsome because, it is a story that all girls can relate to and want, the unconditional love from Edward is like a dream to anybody, so just having a movie that shows that will be absoulutly fabulous!! Also all the loyalship and family that the Cullens show to Bella is something that all people want as well. Overall this book shows what is like to be LOVED! And hopefully the movie will show all of this, and stay true to the books!

i think the Twilight movie will be AWESOME because the books were! and also because Taylor Lautner will be in it! hahaha
and may i just say that i think Twilight will and should do better than the next Harry Potter movie!!!

I think that Twilight will be awesome because of the fans’ devotion! As you have probably witnessed thus far, Twilighters are the most dedicated and amazing fans out there, creating as much buzz themselves as the books and movies do. Add that to the fact that the filmmakers are trying to be as faithful to the book as humanly possible (I did say human!), it should be an amazing experience! Much love to Geeks of Doom for this!
Comment by Krystal — July 28, 2008 @ 4:16 pm
Well…
First of all it is an adaption from the most amazing book ever so of course its going to be absolutely amazing!
In the clips summit has shown us it just feels like twilight…it has a certain twilightness( I know not a word, but I said it)
And that sneak peek scene of Edward and Bella in Edwards room and they started to dance (from penelope DVD) they had that chemistry about them that was just like Edward and Bella’s but yet they were still kinda of unconfortable in their new relationship and dont know how to move on with it…
And then there are the actors…
They could not have picked a better guy to play Edward. Rob Pattinsons face just has that bone structure that I always imagined Edward having…and then his american accent is just amazing..he just becomes Edward!
Then Bella… Kristen just has that thin fragile frame that is perfect for Bella and helps show how voulnarable she actually is!
And Cam..He is james! That Ballet studio scene just made me shudder when he bit Bella…He wasnt just playing a Evil vampire he was an Evil Vampire!
All the actors where perfect…they chose well…escpecially Emmett..Kellan is perfect for that part escpecially that smile…
Its Twilight!
Its been and Always will be an amazing book..
And i am absolutely positive The movie will have the same effect on people as the book did.

Ok, I am a divorced and single 49 yr old Mother and Grandmother who LOVES the books.
When I first read Twilight, I read the whole book in one day and then off to finish the other 2 books.
I know that the movie will be number 1 at the box office but what it means to me is this, Twilight pulls you into the story and you feel like you are there, going through the love, the pain, the heartache. It mesmerizes you and fills a void in you that you didn’t even knew you had.You can feel the love that Bella and Edward have for each other, not just in your mind but, in your heart and I know the movie will do the same.
There are not enough words to describe how this book and the movie makes you feel,I guess what I am trying to say is that you are there and yet you aren’t.It has made me believe in love again and that there is someone out there for me.

I know the Twilight movie will be great because of all of the sneak preview footage I have seen (ie: Greenhouse Scene, Ballet Studio Scene). I am convinced this film will be the talk of the 2008 movie year. There will not be one year in review list that Twilight won’t be included on. When you watch Edward (Rob) and Bella (Kristen), the chemistry is just right. Two people you wouldn’t necessarily expect together at first glance who are perfect for one another. I remember when I first saw the teaser trailer “How old are you” …. “17” …. “How long have you been 17?” …. “Awhile”. It sent chills down my spine (much like the director Catherine Hardwicke). I discovered Twilight because I am a fan of Robert Pattinson. His decision to take this role opened me up to an amazing series of books. I don’t think I’ve read for fun in 7 years. I just finished my MS degree and reading was the last thing on my mind. However, I wanted to see why there was so much fuss over this movie. After having read all three books and eagerly awaiting Breaking Dawn this Saturday, you will see me at every midnight release for each sequel because Twilight is going to become an International phenomenon. You think Comic Con was electric? You ain’t seen nothing yet! :)
Comment by Kristin Rielly — July 28, 2008 @ 7:09 pm
I am a new fan of the Twilight Series, having just heard about it in mid June. While attending a showing of Prince Caspian with one of my best friends, the first Twilight trailer was included in the previews. Due to the ghostly pale skin color of what looked to be the male lead (I now know this was Edward), my friend commented, “Well, he looks like a vampire.”
My curiosity got the best of me and I googled the movie to see what it was about. Sure enough, she was right! How she ever received the “gift” of identifying vampires is beyond me, but she’d probably be handy to have around if you were ever going into vampire-infested lands and needed someone to pick them out for you, haha.
So now with my interest peaked, I learned that the movie originated from a New York Times Bestseller, the book’s author had a website, and three books had already been written. Thus, I discovered this incredible Twilight phenomenon.
I have since read the books and enjoyed them very much. It’s hard to resist being captured by the powerful relationship Bella and Edward share. For the movie, the second trailer has definitely got me excited. Some of the facial expressions and attitudes I saw coming from the actors (especially Pattinson) are exactly what I imagined them to be, and with the more I see, the more impressed I become. If the previews are any indication, then the Twilight movie will be amazingly awesome due to the actors’ portrayals of the characters. I tell ya what…December’s just won’t come quick enough.
Comment by Christin — July 28, 2008 @ 7:14 pm
Twilight is the moving story that captured all of it’s readers. The Twilight movie will do that, but also take it farther. It will take us to places that Bella’s mind couldn’t go. It will show us action, love, and VAMPIRES like we have never seen before. The Twilight movie will be awesome… No… It will be VAMPTASTIC!!
Comment by corinee — July 28, 2008 @ 7:29 pm
I think the Twilight movie will be awesome because it’s an adaptation of an awesome book. Stephenie Meyer wrote her characters and settings with so much depth. I believe the fictional characters are portrayed by the best possible actors that could do so. The setting of the moive is perfect because it actually takes place where the setting of the book does.
Twilight is a dream come true, literally. Stephenie’s dream of a vampire and a girl falling in love is becoming a reality through the art of a movie. It also became a dream of mine, and so many others once it was published. From what I’ve seen of the actors and the movie, I don’t think there could ever be a better adaptation of Twilight or it’s characters.

Twilight is going to be the best movie ever for the simple fact that this movie involves 100% true fans and that the Cast and the crew are truly making this movie because it means so much to them, the fans and Stephenie Meyer. They will put all the effort into making it an awesome movie!

At first, when the first cast photos were released, I wanted to cry. Jasper’s and Rosalie’s hair looked like wigs. Rob’s face was horrible, not my Edward at all. And Kellan’s hair was short, not curly like Emmet’s should’ve been. And I never pictured Charlie Swan with a mustache (maybe because my uncle is named Charlie and I pictured Charlie Swan to look like my Charlie).
But now (with all of the footage we’ve seen) I believe the Twilight movie will be to die for.
Seriously though, the trailers have kept me on the edge of my seat, even though I know how it’ll end and I’ve watched them over and over a buzillion times.
The music so far has been better than Harry Potter’s famous theme song (sorry all Potter lovers), I care more about music than just about everything else-so yeah, music is uber important.
The Cullens are gorgeous. They fit their roles, appearance wise and behavior wise, perfectly. They are everything I pictured and more.
Kristen is just perfect. She’s got the right blend of average yet beautiful, rough yet soft, and shy yet bold. Rob is, well let’s face it, HOTT!!!! I love the way Edward (Rob/Spunk) looks at Bella (Kristen), I love his crooked smile, and the way he talks.
I’m glad the movie will be different from the book. If it were the EXACT same I’d be bored. I want to know MORE about Edward and Bella’s beginnings, and the movie will take me deeper into the love of Edward and Bella. It’s the perfect way to get better visuals.
That’s only part of the reason why Twilight will be friggin’ amazing.
I’d continue, but I’m already sounding like a cheesey, love-struck, obsessed teenager. So I’m done… for now anyways. L.O.L.

I think this will be the awesomest movie ever, because they have such a great story to work with and they have the best cast imaginable :D Rob and Kristen have amazing chemistry. and Jackson! oh my goodness its almost scary how well he does, everyone has done so well with their parts, they took a classic character and made them their own, and they are just AMAZING! Or there is one other answer i could give… IT IS ABOUT EDWARD CULLEN OF COURSE ITS AMAZING :D

The Twilight movie will be awesome because it is much more than a story. The Twilight series has created a community of die-hard fans (something the world got a taste of in hall H). But its not only the fans that will make the movie so great. After seeing the interviews I can tell that the actors have really immersed themselves into the movie. From covering themselves in chicken to composing songs….The clips and trailers are just samples of what looks like an amazing show. So in conclusion: Twilight is a good book, and will be a great movie.

the twilight movie will be awesome because all of the cast and crew are putting so much effort in the movie to make it great for all the fans. it will be amazing to watch, because you know that you(not necessarily, YOU, but the fans) were thought of while the movie is being made. the whole reason that a movie is being made in the first place is because if the strong reaction to the book. stephenie put so much effort into the characters and story, and now we get to experience it visually! and…it’s the twilight movie!!! how can it not be awesome!?!?
Comment by Pooja — July 28, 2008 @ 8:55 pm
Hmmm… Let me think… Ok. The twilight movie will be so totally awesome because, well first of all, we get to see it hopefully from Stephenie’s view. Of ocourse, It’s not going to be exactly as she imagined it, but she helped put it together! It’s close to looking into Stephenie Meyer’s head as if we were all little Edwards! It’ll also be awesome cause come on, movies move faster than books! We can all see Twilight infront of our eyes with real pictures! It’s going to be a highlight of my December 2008.
Comment by Jenna — July 28, 2008 @ 9:02 pm
The Twilight movie is going to be awesome because of all of the care that is being put into it. With many movies based on books, the movie is changed to make it more “movie appropiate.” However, the book is so well written that it can act as a movie script on its own. The characters are so real that they literally jump right off the pages. And Summit’s approach to making the film is literally a fan’s dream come true because they are taking the characters right off the pages and putting visual representations of them on screen for us to enjoy.
Not to mention the cast is the best. Robert Pattison and Kristen Steward really understand the characters of Edward and Bella. The whole cast seems to have a good idea of the characters they are playing and they have actually READ THE BOOKS! This is an extra bonus that cannot be said for many book turned movies (*cough* HARRY POTTER *cough*).
So yes, of course the Twilight movie will be fantastic.
Comment by Teri — July 28, 2008 @ 9:03 pm
I was never into the Harry Potter books, so I never really understood the huge media that radiated off of it.But, after becoming a loyal twilight fan, I finally understand all this frenzy.
After hearing in one interview, Stephanie Meyer said that she believed the setting was just right (for the movie) and that was how she pictured it, I just had to automatically agree with her. Because, she was the one who wrote in and visualized it I will trust her judgement.
The cast has great chemistry and I believe they will portray just what loyal fans are expecting. The movie, will hopefully pull in more than just average twilight fans, but reach to new fans as well. Many people can relate to this book, because the characters are not perfect and have made mistakes but they still love and feel just as every human does(even thought they may not all be human).Everyone has loved someone and can relate in one way or another to this film. That is one reason why, it can reach so farther out than to just loyal readers, but to also too a diversity of people.
I just know, with all the hype already surronding the movie, come Dec. 12 those box offices will be selling out of twilight movie tickets. Whether it is because people loved the books, think the film looked amazing during trailers, or because they think robert pattinson is gorgeous? who knows. but twilight is going to be huge—and i think so many people are finally starting to realize that.
p.s. sorry this is so long, i hope you can understand what i wrote and thanks for doing this—- i’m sure you had to endure many fangirls to get those cards. :]
Comment by Inez — July 28, 2008 @ 9:06 pm
I think the Twilight movie will break records b/c it’s really every person’s dream I think. Vampires are known for their beauty but most of them don’t let their walls down the way Edward does with Bella. I think Robert will do a great job of showing Edwards inner struggle. The line “If you can live forever, what do you live for?” Pretty much sums it up for me. That line alone may have people lining up to find out that secret. The answer appears through out Twilight…if you can live forever, you live for love. Once you have seen the brightness of the stars, how do you go back?
Comment by Bonnie — July 28, 2008 @ 9:11 pm
Upon hearing the fact that they were taking on this project and making this book come to life, i was very excited to say the least… no scratch that, i was as happy as a kid on christmas. Now after seeing the cast and some of the scenes, trailers, behind the scenes footage, i can only say that this movie is gonna be one of the best of the year. Not only are the actors and the director, fans of the book, but in my opinion, it looks as though they really do understand these characters and the struggles that they face, especially rob and kristen, which i see as two of the hardest characters in the entire story to portray.
Not only are the cast absolutely perfect in the sense that they are some of the best up and coming actors in hollywood, but there is also the fact that there’s not only just romance and inner struggle that we get to see, but there is a ton of action (especially some that we dont get to see in the books, since it is from bella’s perspective) that can satisfy many guys who get dragged to this movie by their girlfriends. From the visual image of the fighting scenes, to even just seeing the city of forks (filmed in Oregon),i don’t think anyone can deny that you feel a sense that you are there and that this place and these characters are in fact real. In a way the movie does get to show us much more than just when you’re reading it and trying to visualize it in your mind.
What i think this movie does that sets it apart from other book adaptations is the fact that they (i believe) catch the soul of what this story is really all about. Catherine and all the actors really understand the inner core of the story which is the romance between two people who by nature should never be together but are so drawn in both a good and bad way, that you can’t help but fall in love with the story and only hope that in the end their love can prevail against any obstacles that they face.
Overall, i believe that with the direction Catherine has taken it in, the way all of the actors have tackled these roles (that are very important to a lot of fans), that this movie will definitely be a December hit and here’s to hoping that a sequel will soon be in the works!!

The Twilight movie will not be awesome, it will be incredible. The movie is based on the book, which is absolutely amazing. It truly encompasses every feeling there is to be felt. The book is filled with a sincere raw emotion that can’t possibly be reproduced. Aside from the incredible story behind it, the people involved with the film are amazing. Everyone, cast and crew, are so involved and putting in an unbelievable amount of effort into this project. And the multitude of fans backing this project and everything it stands for, is what’ll help this film reach it’s full potential. All these things combined are what makes a film thrive, and i don’t think anyone can disagree.

Urgh. Though I feel my chances are quite slim, I imagine an attempt couldn’t hurt.
The plain and simple reason the Twilight movie will be awesome is due in HUGE part to the fans. The book’s story is a great one, to say the least, which an enormous following. That alone I imagine is quite intimidating for every person involved in the making of the movie. But it’s happened before where the movie hasn’t lived up to the hype (case in point: Eragon). However, this book just sucks you right in from the beginning and leaves even the quietest, shyest girl a raving fangirl when it comes to the characters. Due to the enormous fanbase, there’s an equally large amount of raving, unabashed and clever fangirls, and the studio might want to remain on their good side. If they ruin the story, it’s probably likely they’ll ruin their movie and careers.

Twilight is going to be awesome because the director and cast truly wanted to bring Stephenie’s work to life. Stephenie is happy with the screenplay and the casting. I’m thrilled. The action scenes are going to be so cool! Go Team Edward!

1. The actors and actresses are so in love with what they are doing, you can see it in their faces when they talk about the film. And they look so much like their characters, Edward is every bit as beautiful and flawless as I had imagined. And Kristin as Bella?! Who would’ve thought it, I certainly didn’t. All of the vampires also look to be their beautiful best :)
2. The crew are obviously some of the best on the planet. Have you seen the trailers?!?! Edward runs in the exact way I had pictured, and when he stops the car from hitting Bella, oh, it was breath-taking.
3. Stephenie herself helped pick out the people who worked on this and helped out with many aspects of this film. If there’s anyone who wouldn’t let it be ruined, it is Stephenie. She has put so much thought into this entire being that I am more than sure that no one will be dissapointed in this film.
4. The fans. I myself am only a newcomer to the series but by page 18 I had already fallen truly, madly and deeply in love with Edward Cullen :) I know there are LOADS of people out there who have been loving this series longer than I have and I know that NONE of them would miss this for the world. Even people who have never read the books must be intrigued enough by the trailers and the hype. Not to mention the sheer beauty of the actors :) Even if I had heard nothing of these books before, even if I hated how industrialized it all was, I would still go see this film because of how awe-inspiring I know it will be.
5. The music, Robert Pattinson (who portrays Edward) composed Bella’s Lullaby straight from his head on the set. He said it just came to him, like a thought or a dream. I have studied Robert’s acting, he gets into his characters a LOT, this piece that means so much to all of the fans (including me :D) will be even more fantastic than any of us had imagined since Robert would have been thinking of himself as Edward. And there is also a band who will be making a special “Twilight” song especially for the movie!! How amazing is that?!?!
To tell the truth, I did not expect anything to do justice to these phenomenal books. But I was more than surprised when I found out about this movie, everything fits so well, and it’s even better than I had imagined it. Even just the trailers take my very breath away, Catherine Hardwicke does this story justice and I am beyond proud of her!
Thanks,
From Newcoming Twilighter,
Kylie :)

Twilight is a beautifully written story about the love shared between two people ~ Edward and Bella. The challenges they face help to build the momentum in the story. I am very excited and looking forward to seeing this wonderful tale unfold on the big screen. I’m sure that the cast will bring their own talents to help make this story one that all can enjoy. Stephenie Meyer’s books are a work of genius. Twilight fans around the world are counting the minutes until Edward and Bella take on the big screen!!! I can’t wait!!

How many reasons do you need? jk…
There aren’t that many things that can incite fanaticism around the world these days. With technology like the iPhone and Wii it is hard to believe that a book has created such buzz. Twilight, with its sweeping romance, intense action and subtle humor has managed to jump start the literary world in a way similar to Harry Potter…and best if all it is being made into a movie. I and millions of others can’t wait!
The thing that makes this movie great though is the dedication behind it. Dedication from the cast into bringing our beloved characters to life. Dedication from the crew to create our world. Dedication from the author in bringing her dream to reality and lastly dedication from the fans encouraging everyone involved every step of the way.
When you have fans rallying behind the cast and crew months before the movie’s release and websites that track and anxiously await updates, photos and everything else movie related, it’s hard not to get excited about the movie’s release.
Now if you need other reasons here are a few more:
It’s a way for people to connect! Girls who would never meet or talk can find something they all relate to in someway or another. Mothers can bond with their daughters over the likes of Edward and Jacob.
It combines religion, sports, drama, sex all into one compact wonderful story.
It’s a fast, fun and easy read for all ages.
I know I, and plenty other fans have enjoyed the series. We’ve recommended it to countless others (more like begged and pleaded until they caved in and fell in love with the series after reading it themselves) anyhow…Twilight is fun, thrilling and heart pounding at times, all the stuff that translates well into film. When you see something you love so much get transformed into something bigger with lots of hype and romance, you get excited. Twilight will rock, for lack of a better word, and I can’t wait.

I think the Twilight movie will be awesome because of all the visible determination and passion of the cast and crew of the movie who care for what we ,the fans, think. They want to please us and they worked hard to give us what we want. The movie will be great because of its wonderful plot: it has a little of everything…romance, action, and drama. It’s going to be great because our favorite book will really come to life. You can see the great chemistry among the actors that they really become the characters we have grown to love. The best part is that if Stephenie Meyer approved this movie…it will be great :)

The Twilight movie will truly be a dream come true for all twilight fans. Through reading Twilight, Bella and Edward’s story captivates readers, and we literally become emotionally attached to the characters. While we read we can feel what Bella feels and live vicariously through her. When we put down the book and leave Forks,so to speak, we are rudely reminded that it is just a story. That fact is devastating. The movie will allow us see Bella and Edward’s love unfold and deepen, instead of just read about it, which will add a totally different dimension to the story. It will verify what every reader imagined while reading the story. It still sadly won’t be a reality, but the movie will be the closest thing to it, and that will make awesome.

The movie is going to be perfect, because, like the books, the trailers and the teasers make me _swoon_. I’m 30 years old, and when I see the trailers, and the pictures, and the interviews . . . I giggle with excitement like I’m 13! It’s _crazy_ the effect these stories have! _Everyone_ involved in the movie just totally get it, and they’ve just completely gotten into the spirit of it all. It’s just so . . . AMAZING!

i believe that when someone puts their best and truest effort in making something great, it always turns out better than great.
i have seen how much it has taken for these actors to get through everything. they get asked the same questions over and over but they always make it a better answer than what they said before. they stayed up and shot scenes then woke up early the next morning to shoot some more.
everyone in this movie and has done 110% so that this movie could be great. its gonna be better than great

Why will Twilight the movie reign supreme?
Because it will take the talented Stephenie Meyer’s version, a version that she literlly dreampt up and wanted to see on the big screen, and turn that into a reality. Twilight the book really is something that people dream about, as Kristen Stewart said. This movie has given the fans the greatest thing of all time…a chance to see their favorite fictional characters and story in a visual way. This book, and this series, turned film will make the dreams of so many people all around the globe a reality. And, most important to me, it will give Stephenie Meyer some of the credit she deserves. She is an AMAZING author who deserves to be mentioned with fellow author J.K. Rowling. She has written a fantastic piece of fiction about forbidden romance and shocking danger. Shes made us all fall in love with her characters and her books. And now, we’ll fall in love with the movies.
Comment by Molly — July 28, 2008 @ 10:11 pm
I just think that the fact that Stephenie Meyer has stated that the cast is perfect, that the plot is wonderful, that the movie has meet the standards of the author that created the world of which they are representing. I also think that the fact that they went out of the box, trying to see the book from different views, makes the movie different from the book yes but also makes it more indepth than what Stephenie wrote, which was from Bella’s p.o.v. why not see Twilight from the other characters and I feel that they added the other character’s p.o.v’s to the story making it just as great as the book.

A regular high school girl meets a riduculously beautiful boy who turns out to be a vampire; hot cars zip through dark roads and superhuman creatures run through forests at the speed of blur; a family of immortals dedicates themselves to being forces of good; a trio of the most dangerous predators on earth chances upon a friendly baseball game; the list goes on and on. Really, what’s not to like? For the girls, there’s the perfect, mysterious man of their dreams; for the guys, there’s all the speed, power, murder and mayhem that any adrenaline junky could ask for. The movie has adapted Twilight well to the silver screen while staying faithful to the spirit of the book, so it will appeal to the absolute newbie and to the Twilight fanatic who knows the stories chapter, page and paragraph. Awesomeness? It’s guaranteed!

“Twilight” will be the best. Movie. Ever. because it’s got everything. It’s got love and romance, it has family, it has funny parts and sad parts and action, and even a prom at the end. And, oh yeah, vampires. And, double oh yeah, Edward. How could this movie NOT be awesome?

Hmmm… let’s see. The Twilight movie is going to be fabulous for three reasons:
1) It’s Twilight.
2) The cast and crew are the most perfect and dedicated people ever. I mean hello! Robert pretended to be American for two months to work on his accent. Major props to everyone involved.
3) People like you brave all of the other rabid fans to get their hands on merchandise.
Yes. I’m convinced it will be the best movie ever. Too bad I’ll die once I see the trailer in theaters.

Besides it’s Twilight! The greatest book in the world! The characters are real. It’s not like some cheesy vampire movie that has been done a million and one times. The heroin (Bella) isn’t over the top goth girl that only goth people can relate to, she’s a normal girl that just happens to be in love with a vampire. The special effects are amazing! The actors that play the characters are exactly like the book. And Edward Cullen is in it! That should be reason enough! :)

Edward Cullen is, as Orson Scott Card said recently in TIME magazine, today’s Mr. Darcy. Now, look back on another adaptation: the A&E Pride & Prejudice. It wasn’t even a film in a theater, and yet it’s a cult classic with waves of influence still steadily reverberating throughout pop culture to this day. I’m one of those who tends to see movies in the theater only if the theater will add something to the experience for me; I also will not buy movies unless I know I’m going to watch them more than once a year. (Hence why I don’t own any of the LOTR trilogy; while they’re breathtaking masterpieces, they’re just not something you want to watch every other day. When I want to see them, I’ll rent them or borrow them.) Twilight is going to be an awesome movie because, like Pride & Prejudice, it’s going to send shock waves around the world and they’ll never stop going. Edward is now as much a part of the fabric of pop culture as Mr. Darcy, an archetype unto his own, and the film will solidify that beyond anyone’s reckoning. Also, Twilight fans are going to see this movie countless times in the theater. I mean countless. (What are you doing today? Oh, nothing. Want to go see Twilight again? YES!!) And when the film goes to DVD, fans will be waiting at midnight just as they’ll be waiting at midnight for the release of Breaking Dawn this Friday night. Every Twilight fan will own this DVD, and they’ll watch it repeatedly and know every line. Twilight the movie is already a cult classic and it’s not even in theaters yet!
Comment by Carmen — July 28, 2008 @ 10:41 pm
Twilight the movie is going to be amazing because it the adaptation of an extraordinary book that not only has romance, action and adventure, but also invokes an almost tangible connection to the emotions being portrayed by the characters. What’s going to make the movie even more amazing is that it’s being directed by Catherine Hardwicke, who has been adamant about staying as true to the books as possible.
And I truly believe that us twihards, ourselves, have a little bit to do with why the movie will be awesome. From the moment it was discovered that an adaptation of Twilight was going to be made, we have been actively following its development and the cast and crew have been very accepting of our enthusiasm. Enthusiasm has a way of trickling down the lines, and I believe our support will be reflected in the character portrayals by the actors and the attention to detail by the crew.
Oh, and the complete and utter sexiness that is Robert Pattinson isn’t going to hurt either.
Comment by Nicole Schroeder — July 28, 2008 @ 10:45 pm
Like any film adaptation of a beloved book with obsessive fans, it’s an uphill battle to create a film that is at least within the ballpark of most fan’s vision of how the story should be played out visually on screen. After all, it’s hard to capture the thrill that a reader first got when absorbing the book for the first time. But I’m optimistic about the film. What has impressed me about all of the interviews of Twilight cast, crew, and particularly the director, is that there is a genuine dedication to solid performances that are true to the characters and a storyline that is loyal to the original book. I think that the care and dedication put into the film will pay off (literally and figuratively) in the end and fans will walk out of the theater satisfied… and go back for more. And more. Even if there is outrage at such and such scene or disgruntled reaction about someone’s performance, at the end of the day a visual adaptation of a vivid and compelling story will satisfy (and drain the wallets of) even the pickiest of fans. After all, the Entertainment Weekly cover featuring the film’s two stars sold out, despite the outrage many voiced at the way they were portrayed… just goes to show actions speak louder than words! Regardless, my actions will include seeing the film on the first day of its release, although I’ll never forget the feeling I got when reading the books for the first time. That’s the magic that an author provides to his or her reader, that even the best of actors and directors can’t ever completely replicate.

Twilight which is going to be adapted into a Film, will be by far the greatest acheivment for Stephenie Meyer, the Twilight Cast Crew, and Everyone who put they’re hard time into making a simple dream, onto the Big Screen. What I find amazing, is how involved Stepenie Meyer was with the Film’s script. When most Producers buy legal rights to make a movie, They leave out the Author completly. But! Stephenie was active, voicing her opinions when asked, and editing tid bits of scripts. That’s going to be very good for us Twilighters, because- Hey, The movie wont be that Different from the book. Of course, Everyone (when reading The Twilight book) Must have seen it played out in they’re brains like a movie. Its so interesting to see The all the actors Catch the Characters essence and then chanel it onto a camera. The best part? The actors couldnt protray the characters any better. Sure, everyone has they’re different views on how the characters looked like- But, Hey! Twilight is being made into a movie, so I’m not complaining! :)
They put a lot of time and effort into filming, so I can already tell by the teaser trailers that this movie is no doubt-
going to be vamptastic. :D

Ya think? I paid money for him to tell me this? I spend too much time on the computer checking out Twilight the Movie, I am stressed and high on adrenaline and caffeine waiting for December 12!! When I heard there was going to be a movie, I was estatic. I didn’t really think hard about anything but, there was going to be one and I was happy. Then, the pictures started to come out. I almost cried when I saw how some of the vampires (like Jasper) didn’t look anything like I thought they would. I was glad to see most of the characters looked like I thought they would, but some I cringed at.
Not long afterwards, the behind the scene’s clips started coming out. I jumped for joy when I saw that all the characters looked so much better in the movie then in there photo shoots.
Then, after a lot of waiting, the first teaser trailer was released. Once I saw that trailer, I knew I had nothing to worry about. You could tell that each character got into there part (Like an interview with some girls at Twilight Theory Series, showed that Rob, stood in a little isolated area for a few minutes and got into character before he went out to film).
However, that is not why I think this movie will be great, but it is part of it. I think this movie will be great because you can see the effort that everyone put in. Not only did the actors/actress get into character, but the director was just as excited about making the movie as Stephenie Meyer was with writting the books.
I am so happy that we are getting a movie out of one of my favorite books of all time and that is why the movie will be great. I think, even if they mess up a few parts, the fact that someone actually wanted “Twilight” to become a movie makes this movie great without even seeing it yet.

-I think that “Twilight” the movie is going to be awsome is because of the same reason we all twilighters love the book.
1st.
The actors have told us that they have done the best they could.
2nd.
They has Msr.Meyer as a guidance.
(hello she’s the creator of the Twilight saga)
3rd.
(at least uptil now)they have the key points that made us fall in love with twilight in the 1st place :Bella&Edward, their love and intensity of thier relationship, james&victoria&laruent, and the danger&suspense.
4th.
if we are true fans will love the movie anyways and it will rock!

And also because I think that Catherine Hardwicke, the writers and the cast are really committed to the essence of the story while still wanting to make a great film.

The movie is guarenteed to be great no matter what! Stephanie Meyer is awesome! The book was incredible and there is no way they can get away without making the movie just as good. In order to portray what the book is giving to all it’s fans, the movie has gotta be as close to the book as possible or everyone will be lost, confused, and dissappointed!! But it will be wonderful no matter what. i think that they picked a great cast and everyone i’ve watched interviews with is even getting into thier character as much as possible. They do not want all the fans dissappointed at all and i know that none of us will be. It’s gonna be wonderful and i think everyone knows that, there is no other way around it. A FANTASTIC BOOK = A FANTASTIC MOVIE!!!!! This isn’t just a movie like any other. The Cast and Crew are putting all their heart and soul and hard work into it as much as they possibly can. They know how many fans there are and how big of a deal this is to everyone and i know no one will be dissappointed!! I can’t wait!! I am so freakin’ excited!!!

I started reading the twilight series around this year. i was never much of a reader, even for school reports i just couldnt grasp the stories that were being told. Twilight was the first real book i have ever read that i actually finished. Im very happy that this book was my first. Once i started reading twilight i was so intersted with the high level of compassion edward and bella had for eachother i couldnt put the book down! As the story went on it just kept getting better and better and it was so unpredictable which is one of the many reasons why i couldnt stop reading it. After i read twilight i read new moon and then eclipse and eclipse kept me wanting more. A few weeks later after i finished the series i found out they were making it into a movie, i was super excited and i was very happy with the cast the whole cast was how i pictured them to be and i loved it! I ended up keeping tabs on everything between having countdowns and watching all the interviews and sneak peeks it looks like its really fitting the book it may not be exactly the same but honestly its hard trying to take a 498 page book and narrowing it to like a 100 page script, that must be tough. they still have alot of the parts in there. the ballet scene looks incredible! i think this movie will be number 1 in the box office without a doubt. while watching a lot of stephenie meyers interviews it shows how much she feels for her characters and it seems that she wouldnt want to let the story behind the book and the characters go. Also there are more then millions of fans (including me (: ) out there all ready going crazy about the trailers, sneak peeks, behind the scenes, and the completed scenes. If fans are already crazy about that then wait to the whole movie is put together. i believe it will be one amazing movie the story behind it is unvelievable and the cast is very well chosen. i realize that twilight is premeiring a couple of weeks after the next harry potter, i think that twilight will deffinetly beat harry potter. when the movie comes out i will be first in line and i will be amazed by the movie. i can’t wait! :D

Twilight will be the best movie of the year, all of the the actors and actresses are what I pictured the characters to look like. I know Summit Entertainment will do a very good job putting together this movie, I believe in all the actors, and supporst them all 100%. This movie is filled with romance and non stop action and thrill, the actors capture the characters so well. The Twilight Saga made me feel like I was seeing everything Bella and Edward went through with their relationship, and now that it will be a movie I can see what the book looks like from a professionals point of view. I am so excited that Twilight is being made into a movie. I can’t wait until August 2nd, I’m going to a Breaking Dawn party so I’m getting the book quite early in the morning (around 12:00am). I want to read the book when I get home, but my mom has to make me go to bed, but I really can’t wait, only four more days!!!!!!!!!!

The Twilight movie will be beyond awesome for so many reasons, hot actors, EXCELLENT story, rockin’ director and so on! However, above all I think (hope) it will help settle some differences my 13 year old daughter and I have regarding plot, intent, inference etc. It’s like, you know how 2 people can read the EXACT same words on a page but have 2 TOTALLY different ideas of what really happened? Someone will “read between the lines” or someone else will think they actually MEANT to say it this way… and so on! How do you decide who’s right? Since we all know how closely Stephanie worked with the production of Twilight the movie, we’ll all see first hand, for SURE, how she intended the story to go… and settle a few wagers in my house too! LOL!
Thanks for the opportunity to speak out – we are anxiously awaiting Friday night and will continue to “endure” the months until the Twilight premiere – my daughter and I will be there together. Who knew a series of books and movies could draw a mother and daughter so close and actually have something we can talk about? Thanks a million to Stephanie and thank YOU Empress Eve for braving the crazed Twihards to grab some extras for the rest of us poor saps who couldn’t make it! :0) If we win a set, my daugher will think I rule!!!!!!

I am not ashamed to admit that I walked by Twilight on the book shelves since it came out. An avid movie fan I was clicking through teaser trailers not known that my life was about to be changed forever. “Twilight” based on the best selling novel. I couldn’t stop watching that minute long tease, click, click, click, click. I went out and bought all three books at once, read then within 5 days (a person has to sleep and work ya know) and at 29 years old I became a Twilight fan. Every new glimpse of an extra second from the the very best Christmans gift possible, Twiligh – The Movie, brings me in deeper and deeper. I have already hooked two of my co-works, several friends, and my roommate into the wonderful world of Twilight. Robert Pattinson’s intensity while he is Edward it remarkable (all you have to do is look into his eyes) as for Kristen Stewart… I can’t even find the words to describe how amazing I feel she is going to be as Bella. Not many movies taken from books have had the author behind it so vocal about their approval and here we have Stephanie Meyers just about shouting it from everywhere, even Comic Con. How can this movie not be AMAZING?

Twilight the book and soon to be movie inspires so many people including myself. At least for myself, the Twilight story and the characters give me something to care about.
The Twilight story also comforts so many people. Stephenie Meyer has such a creative imagination and has done a great job on her books, and with her giving her opinions on the movie, THE MOVIE WILL BE COMPLETELY AWESOME AS WELL!!!!! The characters in the movie…..Kristen Stewart as Bella, Rob Pattinson as Edward, Taylor Lauter as Jacob..Cam as James,Nikki Read as Rosalie…etc…are such talented actors/actresses that are perfect for their parts and they (from what AWESOME trailers and scenes i have seen) have done an AMAZING job with capturing their characters. Twilight will be an awesome film and a world wide phenomenon because…my husband worked his magic on the film! I was introduced to Twilight Fandom when my husband accepted a job working for the movie. I decided to read the books and I have to say…I’M HOOKED! My world turned upsidedown after reading the series and listening to my husband’s stories of the set. I found crazy mom’s like myself…waves to Twilightmoms!…and through Stephenies magic I have found a new group of friends and fellow Twilighters.
I look forward to watching the film as many times as I can…is it December yet?

I believe that the Twilight movie will be AMAZING because all of the actors are SERIOUSLY talented! All of the Cullens and Bela are VERY well represented. The humans also look the part of their individual characters. And I trust that Stephenie Meyer has take very good care of her beyond words, amazing, book and Im sure that all the major and important parts that make up the book that we all love will remain in the movie. I also think that Catherine Hardwicke, is a very good director and that she had us fans in mind when she made this movie. SO, in which case I KNOW that Twilight the movie will spectacular!

Well Twilight was an amazing book. I mean it seems underground, but once you uncover a small piece, you are sucked into this world. I think that just seeing the trailers with these actors really portrays the characters well. I mean that I think that the director chose good actors to portray such characters. I think Robert Pattinson (aka Spunk Ransom) shows his emotions very well and will prove to be a good Edward. I don’t think that it matters that these actors don’t necessarily look exactly like the characters. Who can portray the most gorgeous creatures? But the trailer gives me chills whenever I watch it because the chemistry that these actors have is mindblowing. We should all be excited because there are some great people, who I think, will be able to become these Twilight characters that all of us love so dearly.
Comment by Alyson — July 29, 2008 @ 12:52 am
The Twilight movie. It is destined to be great, just as Bella and Edward are destined to be together. The casting is perfect, especially Robert Pattinson as Edward and Kristen Stewart as Bella. They exude these characters. Kristen’s voice is the voice I hear in the books and Robert has the best smile. Peter Facinelli is pretty great too. :)
I think this movie will be great because the cast and crew and everyone working on the film really get how much this movie means to the Twilight fans out there. They know that we care that Alice’s hair might be a little long or Edward was actually wearing a blue shirt in the books in that scene, thank you very much. The actors also really care about their characters and really get into their roles, which means a lot. It’s great to see that Stephenie Meyer herself worked closely with the film and helped out with developing the characters even further. It’s extremely hard to read Twilight and not picture Forks High School, the Cullens’ Mansion, Charlie’s house…So to see this on the big screen is totally and completely Awesome.
From the teaser trailers and clips that have been released, I think this film will blow us all away.

I am extremley hopeful that Twilight the movie will be more than awsome… it will be spectacular! I’ve spent my entire life thus far, searching for a book that would not only entice my mind but would touch my heart. This saga devotionally written by Stephenie meyer to her characters and her fans, has done just that and much, much more. This saga has reached millions of people with its genuine love, and I strongly believe this movie will reach trillions on the big screen. With its brilliant actors, amazing director, and bright, bold, author(screen-play), this movie will make history. I believe in it and I know people all over the would will too.
Comment by Totty — July 29, 2008 @ 1:31 am
I KNOW the Twilight movie will be awesome because I think the actors representing each of the characters match perfectly. And seeing that Stephenie Meyer put all of her heart and soul into writing the series, I know she’ll make sure the movie will be just as good. (If not, better.) I’ve made so many new friends because of the Twilight madness. This is the biggest obsession of mine yet!
Comment by Emily — July 29, 2008 @ 1:31 am
well to put it simply…at first i wasnt sure how amazing the movie adaption of twilight would be because usually books turned movies can be let downs, but twilight is different, it gives out a different message than most fantasy type books and thats why people are drawn to it, because its so..relatable.
for all i care (and dont get me wrong im so addicted to twilight its sickening) the movie could have been made with apes speaking spanish and i would still love it just because for me its not about what the actors look like, who they are or where it is…its about the raw emotion thats being shown and the inevitability of the whole situation that matters to me, they cant help falling in love no matter how hard they fight it nothing can keep them apart. so i guess THAT is why i think the movie will be so amazing. :]
*and from what I’ve seen the actors have been doing an amzing job portraying the characters…and Catherine Hardwicke is just plain brilliant!

I think this movie is going to be amazing. Sure die hard fans are going to be a little miffed that their favorite character doesn’t look exactly like they imagined when reading it but they need to get over it and go see the movie. I think it will draw in a lot of new fans for the book, a movie is such a great way to acquire more fans, take Harry potter for example, yes a huge book before the movies but once the movies came out it exploded. I can only hope the same happens for Twilight. I am also depending on the Twilight movie with all its glorious action and fight scenes to lure my boyfriend who has been boycotting the book for months. I even stole all his “toilet readers†from the bathroom cupboard and replaced it with twilight one day HAHA but alas he did not crack. I love to hear when boys read Twilight and they get hooked into it, I have a feeling that the movie will help draw in those male fans more. I personally think the actors look amazing and seem to fall right into their characters. Rob and Kristen are great and in my opinion Emmette looks like he jumped out of my head in his full teddy bear awesomeness. I am thankful to not be in school right now because if I was I would be failing all my classes because if I am home I am researching the latest news on the movie lol. We are so lucky that Stephenie Meyers got this cast and crew to bring her book to life and I could only imagine how magical that feels to her if it is taking my breath away. I really hope all the fans just let go and accept the movie for what it is and support it with their full force. I can’t wait to see it blow Harry Potter off the number one list!
Comment by Andrea — July 29, 2008 @ 1:42 am
I think this movie is going to be breathtaking. To bring a most beloved book full of the most amazing characters to life is almost unreal. To see the emotions of the characters and feel them again as you did the book. This movie will be one of the best in history. Not only where the cast very carefully picked, but also to know that Stephenie Meyer herself had some sort of say and involvement in the film will show how hard they have worked to make it everything we Twilight fans expect.
Not only will it be Twilight fans who fall madly in love with the film, but others will be watching who have never read Twilight and this will spark the interest in many more readers. The Twilight fan base is already so huge and will become even bigger. The book has really changed the lives of many fans and the movie will do the same.
Where people of all ages can relate to the characters because even if they may not be, they are just so human. They have flaws and make mistakes. They try to live in a constantly changing world. These characters have so much emotion like our own that it’s impossible to not think them real.
What I love is that people who are all so different can come together because of Twilight. They can sit down and discuses a book and all feel alike for a moment. It’s a great feeling to know there are others like yourself out there.
But the best part of all is those people who constantly make fun of the Twilight fans for our love and obsession, will finally come to terms. Those who never had an interest in reading the book will watch the film and finally understand what we see and feel. They will realize how amazing and real it is and they will have to apologize for their constant nagging. They will realize that Twilight is not just about vampires, but about love, and the inner struggle of each character. That these characters can be even more human then themselves at times.
I just know this film will change the perspective of others takes on just another popular teen book. They will come to realize how different it is and how amazing. This film will truly be beautiful.
Comment by Heather T. — July 29, 2008 @ 1:49 am
Ultimately, the dedication is what will make this film spectacular. It won’t be EXACTLY what the fans imagined or with scenes that mirror the book EXACTLY, but there were fans of the books involved in the process. Right there, that instantly ensures that the crew involved will take care of this production. Not only that, but they respect the story, fans, and Stephenie enough to allow Stephenie to be involved. That is never a requirement. If all they had wanted was to make a quick bag of cash, they could have slapped something together. Instead, they took the time to consult Stephenie on aspects of the movie so that it could remain true. I think that guarantees us a success from the start.
Comment by Amber Pederson — July 29, 2008 @ 1:55 am
Twilight will be the best movie in the history of the planet because it is Twilight. It has several different genres to suit everyone. action/thriller/romance. It has the best plot. It has the cutest quirkiest lines ever. The cast and crew are so amazing. It is being true to the book which is what the fans need. The two leading roles have so much chemistry that the sight of them together makes your bones melt. And it also has ROBERT PATTINSON!! What more could you ask for???
Comment by Racael — July 29, 2008 @ 2:26 am
The Twilight movie will be awesome not because it has a fantastically gorgeous vampire in it, or because it has a massive fan base of people sighing over the drool-worthy vampires. It’s because the plot is so original, taken by an unproven author who had the strength and motivation to make it a reality. Without her, the movie would never be made and the magic of ‘Twilight’ would never be felt by millions of people across the world. With ‘Twilight-fever’ (as I like to call it) raging, the crew responsible for making the Twilight movie have a lot to live up to. I firmly believe they can do it, they’re giving people an opportunity to fall in love all over again. Twilighters are the real force behind Hardwicke’s motivation towards the movie, and I think the fan based spirit will ensure its as fantastic as they’re expecting it to be.
Finally, It’s going to be awesome because the story is so magical and the movie team are going to make it so much more riveting by providing all us Twilighters with new faces for our beloved ‘Bella’ and ‘Edward’. (Not to mention their promotional stuff is awesome!).
Thanks!
Emma =D

Twilight is an epic romance. From the moment I read the first book, I knew it would become a classic. A hundred years from now, when people talk about “the classics”, they will speak of Shakespeare, Austen, Bronte, Alcott, Twain and among others, Meyer. Just as Olivia Hussey will always be remembered as Juliet, so too will Kristen Stewart go down in infamy as Bella Swan (soon to be Bella Cullen!) The movie has an amazing cast, wonderful stunts, and appears to be true to the story. What’s not to love? Of course it will be wonderful! December 12th cannot come soon enough!
Comment by Christina — July 29, 2008 @ 2:54 am
First off, being a teacher I have seen the way that these books have influenced my students. I can’t wait to see how the movie will continue to do so. I think the movie will be awesome because it not only embodies what matters most- TRUE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FOR ANOTHER,but it also embodies good morals. Edward is the very essence of what a true gentleman should be. The tagline alone says it all… When you can live forever what do you live for?
I’m excited to see this movie because it will be my first vampire movie that’s not full of blood, guts and gore. Also, I have read all 3, soon to be 4, books and I have seen the characters develop. I can’t wait to see the interpretation of the words on the big screen.
I think that it may be the best movie of the entire year. It has got romance, horror and comedy all rolled into one. As I’ve said, I’m a teacher and if there’s a midnight showing the night before… I’m going. Granted it will be hard the next day, but none the less… I’M GOING!

The Twilight movie will be awesome because, let’s face it, even if it sucks (hah, pun. how lame) it’ll still be adored by thousands of fans for the solitary reason that they like dudes with sparkly peens. :]
That includes me.

I base my expectations of Twilight awesomeness on a simple arithmetic equation: Catherine Hardwick (Thirteen + Lords of Dogtown) + Kristen Stewart [Into The Wild – Jumper cameo + The Messengers (only good thing in the movie)] + Stephenie Meyer = AWESOME MOVIE….Solve for X.
Thanks for the contest! I’m excellent at math if you need any help with that equation.

The Twilight movie will be awesome because it brought me back to reading. I am a busy mom who works full time and cares for my kids full time, yet somehow I managed to read the whole series in 3 days! The movie will be great because it is a true love story and is something most people desire.
Comment by Julia E — July 29, 2008 @ 8:32 am
I’m not going to use any puns to tell you how get the movie will be. The movie, like the book, will be stephenie’s vision. Because she painted the picture so clearly in our minds when we read the book, it will only be clearer when we see it on the big screen. Each of us have our own vision of how the cast of twilight looks, but I think that the actors really get the image that Stephenie Meyer was going for, so in a way the cast has a little bit of our own vision in it.
Comment by Chloe — July 29, 2008 @ 8:45 am
I REALLY believe the reasons why the movie will rock are the amazing cast, the super vibe they have (you can feeling even on video, man!), the good script (they are making it more realistic, adapting it to this time becasue all you know, nowdays, one day or month makes a huge difference on language, modisms, and technology), the director (we don’t worth you, Catherine! YOU REALLY ROCK! Have you ever seen how much efford is she putting on this? I have never NEVER seen someone with so much anergy traying to make things right! I just love her!), we are loyal crazy maniac fans, we will give anything for this movie, even our blood…
THAT’S WHY TWILIGHT THE MOVIE WILL BE AWESOME!!!

I think because the books have become so popular over the years, people are really interested to see the movie and how it relates to the book. The fact that you can feel what Bella, Edward and Jacob feel in the books is amazing and to see that on a movie would just be a dream come true. I think Twilight will be the number 1 movie this winter, because its something different than your average action or love romace movies. Its about vampires, werewolfs AND love in a teenage lifestyle. Thats unique and the fact that your vampires don’t have fangs and no garlic it makes Twilight so much more special. I know this movie is going to blow us away and I can’t wait to watch it and be apart of it!

The Twilight movie is going to be great! The cast has said it a thousand times that they did their best to try and do the book justice. They didn’t just make a film to make a film, but they put their heart and souls into this film so that it wouldn’t disappoint! The cast is great, the director is great, the editing (so far from the clips) looks great….what more do we need than that?! The Twilight movie it going to rock, and at all the award shows next year, they’re going to have to rename all of them. Like the MTV movie awards…next year we’ll call it the MTwilightV awards! So on and so forth with all the other movie award shows! I’m extremely excited about the movie and am planning on going opening night! I’m am just amazed by the cast! They are doing a fantastic job. Plus they are wicked hot!!!! OUCH I just got burned by all their hottyness!!!

My top five reasons Twilight will succeed as a movie:
5) Have you seen the cast???? And how teenagers respond to them?
4) Catherine Hardwicke has mad skills.
3) Fans of the book are evangelical — we preach the gospel of Twilight to everyone, everywhere, all the time.
2) Stephenie Meyer’s story is timeless, ageless and scorching hot.
And my number one reason Twilight will succeed as a movie….
1) Tens of thousands of at-home moms like me will drag everyone we know to see the movie. Again. And again. And again. The hand that rocks the cradle might rule the world, but we definitely pay for movie night!!!!
p.s. I’d really like the Twilight cards because my kids are all boys and I’d like something cold as ice with which to fight off their Pokemon!
Comment by Aimee — July 29, 2008 @ 9:49 am
OK, let me break this down for ya.
Does Harry Potter have vampires that sparkle in the sun? No.
Yes, Pineapple Express has pot. But does it have brands of heroin? Didn’t think so.
Could you picture Keanu Reeves in The Day the Earth Stood Still asking “Do I dazzle you?” Hell no.
For that matter, I don’t think James Bond could pull that line off either.
Yes, Madagascar 2 has a lion. But is his a masochist that falls in love with a stupid lamb? Oh, no. He does not.
And Edward could kick Bruce Wayne’s ass.
So, clearly, Twilight has everything that any other movie this year doesn’t have.
Comment by Amy — July 29, 2008 @ 10:01 am
I think the Twilight movie will be awesome, because you can tell the people involved in it really care. It seems like just about all of the cast as well as Catherine are fans of the series and want to put out a great movie. Not to mention that Stephenie has been involved from the beginning. With all of the above, I find it hard to believe that this movie will disappoint us.
Comment by Sarah — July 29, 2008 @ 10:07 am
I think that the reason as to why the Twilight movie will be awesome will be the production team behind it. You can tell that everyone involved in the movie just wants to do an amazing job & do the book justice, they want to please the fans as much as possible. Especially Catherine Hardwicke, she’s just one bright ball of energy when it comes to what she’s doing, she’s very enthusiastic about it all & seems to want to do the best job possible. The cast have all done their homework when it comes to their roles & have read the books so that they understand their characters better & are able to portray them in the best way possible. Not to mention the fact that a few of the casting decisions made for the movie have been spot on with their characters. This movie seems to want to be a faithful & as true to the books as possible, even more so than other books-to-movies franchises. I think all that is what will make this movie awesome.

Twilight is a movie I will go back to the movie theaters at least 2 times, probably more if I don’t go broke. I think the it is going to be out of this world. It’s different than the book slightly but the author approves of it. Stephenie Meyer is a great story-teller and her input was in the movie from the beginning. The actors including Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are amazing at what they do. The director Catherine is crazy and so into what she does for a living. Twilight will be the best movie of 2008 [not inlcluding The Dark Knight!] No other movie has sparkling vampires and a romance between the vampire and an innocent. It’s a classic that will last through the ages for sure. I can see my kids and grandkids reading it too. The mom fan base is insane. The trading cards are going to be sold out so fast, well everything with Edward Cullen’s face on it is going to be jackpot. There is no way that critics will hate this movie, Edward Cullen will dazzle them =]

The movie will be awesome because it’s based on a great book. Everyone who worked on the film, especially Catherine, are a fan of the book and every single fan what’s it to be as close to the book as possible. They also know the fans will die if it turns out poorly. Also, there are an amazing group of older and younger actors who will make any movie great, especially this one. I know it will be great and that they won’t disappoint all of their fans out there.

I think the Twilight movie will be awesome, because it has such an amazing cast. Everyone seems to have put in such an awful amount of work to play their characters as the fans know them, and everyone – cast and crew – is so dedicated to giving us the movie we all want. I think we’re all so, so lucky to have Catherine Hardwicke directing it; she just seems to really get the book, and she’ll translate it so well to screen – the raw emotion and the drama. And visually, it’s just going to look great. And I love Hardwicke especially for having the original script re-written so it was more like the book. Great decision. The film is just going to be amazing, because no-one is taking this film lightly.

Reasons why the Twilight movie will be great: ( No particular order)
1. Stephenie Meyer is a fantastic writer, and if they stuck to the book, which they did pretty well from what we’ve seen with the trailers and all, then it will be just as “dazzling” as the book.
2. In the ballet studio scene, when Edward looks at Bella to make sure she’s all right, you can feel the connection between them, Kristen and Rob have great chemistry together.
3. It covers so many different genres: Romance, action, adventure; it will appeal to so many different audiences.
4. The cast and crew have said so many times about how they are all giving their best in the movie. They all seem to care so much about it.
5. Robert Pattinson actually wrote journals from Edward’s POV to help him get into the role. Also, he wrote Bella’s Lullaby, which will make the movie tie even more into the books.
All of theis put together? One heart-stopping, hyper-ventalation causing, awesome movie!

Twilight is going to be amazing. It has been brought to life from the beloved book by Stephenie Meyer. It is the most compelling story that I have ever read in my entire life. I’ve never felt more connected to a story and its’ characters. These characters are so real and so easy to relate to. It’s so easy to fall in love with all of them. I can’t imagine any other actors/actresses playing the roles of all the Twilight character…they have made the characters come to life. They have put their whole selves into the roles and have done an outstanding job. The director, who is a Twilight fan herself, stayed true to the book because she wanted it to be good. Everyone involved in this project believed in it and wanted to please the fans. I don’t think anyone is going to be disappointed. When I watch this movie for the first time…I know I will feel the same as when I read the book…I will feel everything the characters feel…and I know this movie will be incredible. Because the book already was.

The Twilight movie will be so amazingly awesome beause it is something that millions of fans hold dear to their hearts and can escape to when times are rough or not looking good to a place filled with unconditional love and devotion, fantasy, and true friendship. Readers from all ages and walks of life read Twilight to escape reality and enter a world of an impossibly imperfect perfect love. And the producers and entire cast realize what Twilight means to its millions of fans and do not want to disappoint them! Finally, we will get to see with our eyes what only our brains have been able to imagine! Yes, some will unavoidably be disappointed with it because its not exactly what they imagined or doesn’t follow the book exactly; but at least we have the chance to see it. How extrordinary that our favorite books are being made into a motion picture series! We are lucky to have the experience! The Twilight movie will be amazing no matter what because its our greatest fantasy come true… to see Edward and Bella together and witness their love for one another with a different set of senses and emotions! There is no doubt in my mind that this film is going to be awesome and bring in a new batch of rabid readers to the Twilight series and the following movies will be as equally awesome after that!

I think the Tilight movie will be awesome because almost every teenager on earth has read the books and are huge fans, like myself. Also because now we can picture and Bella and Edward(in his case we can dream about him) where before it was impossible.
I love the fact that Summit Entertainment steped in so Stephenie’s book could come to life without those night vision gogles. Catherine Hardwicke did a fabulous job capturing Twilight to make what we are all looking forward to. The cast is great, kristen Stewart is the perfect Bella and I could not dream of a better Edward. Rob Pattinson took his role seriously and together they will make a wonderful movie. Stephenie Meyer has done a great job with the books and I hope there is more to come. Everyone says that Twilight is the new Harry Potter, I don’t know about you but I could not read them. Harry Potter just didn’t hold my attention like the relationship that Bella and Edward have, it’s amzing how they connect. And this movie will help show that

The Twilight Movie is going to be amazing, because we all get to see the book that fascinated us so much come to life. We won’t have to imagine anymore, but can actually see the book played out right in front of us. The film will capture all of the key points that Stephanie Meyer was trying to show us and now we can all actually see the book that we couldn’t put down on the big screen. I can’t wait to see how all of the actors relate to each other and if they were how i imagined them while reading. The movie Twilight is going to be insanely awesome!

Hi there!
I believe that the Twilight movie will be awesome for several reasons. I do not believe that it is possible to just say one reason as to why it would be great. First off, just the story is quite remarkable. Look at what Stephenie Meyer wrote. In Twilight, she wrote a classic and timeless love story like one of the classics many of us have all read and fell in love with. I think it is true what Stephanie once said in an interview, “The first love is the one that sticks with you…” This is true, for all of us as human beings, whether, like myself, a 19 year old girl or a twilight mom, that first love is the one that really sticks with you. That first love and that first heartbreak is the one that really sticks with us, and Stephenie captured that perfectly in Twilight. Now, we get to see that story we all love actually come to life. It is no longer something that is in our imagination, it is something that has been brought to a complete and realistic form (even with the gorgeous vampires) Eventhough we have not seen too much footage from the movie, except for small clips and the released teasers, they seem to have captured that goal of love and forbidden romance that made each of fall in love with Twilight in the first place. That is the number one reason why the Twilight movie will be awesome. Next, the cast and the production crew. I am a big movie freak, and never have a I seen a director and a cast speak with such praise and….I can’t even think of the word. You can tell when the cast memebers…even if they’re nervous…they want to make a a good movie. They may not have known much or nothing about the book before they were cast, but they read the book and fell in love with it just as we all did. And you can tell that the actors and the productiin crew wants to make a great movie that we all love. The cast is DEDICATED. Dedication is something that is lacking in the world today, but the Twilight cast is dedicated. You can’t have an “AWESOME” movie with out the “AWESOME” cast. And Twilight has that. Even the “smaller” roles were cast perfectly, keeping in mind with what Stephenie Meyer wrote in Twilight. Then, the fanbase for Twilight is also what will make the movie awesome. WIthout the support from fans of the books, this movie would go nowhere. In fact, no movie would. So, these are the reasons Twilight will be an awesome movie :-)

I don’t think AWESOME is the right word to describe what the film will be. From all the on set interviews and footage from Comic Con, this film is obviously a labor of love to all those involved. Catherine, Robert, Kristen, and all the other cast and crew appear to know just how beloved not only the story is, but how much these characters mean to us Twilighters. Their work and commitment to promoting the movie (even after some more than enthusiastic outings with fans) shows how much they respect not only Stephenie Meyer’s work, but the devotion we fans have to it. With any adaptation there are sure to be some things cut, others out of place, and maybe even some down right questionable things, but in the end it is about preserving the essence of the story and from what I’ve seen and heard, there is no doubting their hearts are in the right place. So, awesome? Maybe. An extraordinary heart warming feat? Most definitely!

I think Twilight will be great because from what we have seen they seemed to have really captured the essence of what Twilight is. We all know this could have went horrible wrong, but I think they’ve done an amazing job. I can’t wait to see it. K. Stewart and Rob just seem to have completely immersed themselves in their characters…and really become them. They haven’t been put off by any fan comments that might not have been so nice. It should be great!
Comment by Tracy Bock — July 29, 2008 @ 5:52 pm
I believe that this movie will be amazing because it stems off of the amazing Twilight book by the yet even more amazing Stephenie Meyer. When people read Twilight, they all had seperate ideas of Edward, Bella, Jasper, Charlie, Rosalie, Alice, Jacob, and everyone else in the book. Now the movie brings together the idea of the book and creates a single image of Edward, Bella, ect. This movie will unite all Twilighters: young and old, guys and girls, and everyone around the world! When casting for the movie, many people were troubled by the choice of cast—yet now, people have come to know Robert Pattinson as THE Edward Cullen. Of course, no one could ever be as perfect as Edward in the book, but Robert comes pretty darn close. This kickass movie will unite all Twilighters and will be sold out for weeks.

The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer is like INSANE! The good insane. I’m positive the movie will great! Theres a good cast, good director, good story. Everything is awesome! I love Twilight!!! :)

Hi Empress Eve,
For a while, I have been wavering in between whether this movie would meet up with my expectations. The main reason why i think that this film will be “awesome”, is simply because of the leading actress that is Kristen Stewart. Personally, I think her performance will hold together the film, which of course it should, her being the main character. From her past works, Into the Wild, Cake Eaters, Land of Women, she has shown amazing range of emotions and depth, which is truly needed Twilight’s Bella. Also from what has been heard in plenty of interviews, is the dynamic and fiery chemistry between Stewart and Pattinson, so as long as they bring the heat and passion, there is nothing to worry about.
On a side note, its been a while since so many girls, young and old, will been able to swoon and simply melt in their seats. Twilight is going to be awesome.

Thanks btw for fighting your way to the summit booth, I would imagine it was absolutely nuts.

I think the twilight movie is going to be awesome because the cast and crew worked really hard to make the story come alive and make the best movie they could while trying to stay true to the book.
Comment by Arlette — July 29, 2008 @ 10:12 pm
The Twilight movie is going to be the best movie ever because it lets girls dream and think beyond the world of which they live in. Your heart could be melted and at the same time your on the edge of your seat to see what will happen next. Even if you have already read the book and know what’s going to happen you still feel your heart beating and you still jump. It encourages teens to kind of expand their mind and believe, and thats what why i love it so much. You see the movie and you think “Vampires and werewolves? Seriously, I’m not some dork who enjoys fantasies and things beyond the human body,” but it’s nothing like that. You can see the movie and not have read the book and it would still be the greatest movie in the world. You still feel the magic and the chemistry between all the characters. The tension is real and in your head, anything can happen. I love the books and I’m counting down the days to the movie. I will probably see the movie 5 million times at the theaters when it comes out. Hahh :)

ever since the first harry potter came out, i thought i would never find a book that could hold my interest until the last chapter. that is, until i read Twilight… the words painted such a vivid picture in head, the characters, became real. the life Bella wanted and yearned for became the plot for all my dreams. without sounding too cheesy, Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse…they became the one thing i couldn’t put down, couldn’t quit talking about, my heart broke when Bella’s did, my teeth clenched when Edwards did, my heart raced, these books are like individual lives. there aren’t many words that could do praise of them any justice. from my excitement of the books, i can only imagine that the movie will be just as breathtaking and heart wrenching and mind blowing as i imagine it. Rob and Kristen are very talented and i am sure they will bring the twilighter’s favorite characters plenty of justice. i am so thrilled to know that my favorite book is becoming a worldwide feature film. to say i am excited, is truly an understatement…i get butterflies in my stomach everytime i see anything having to do with the movie. it’s going to be an experience of a lifetime.

The characters are written with such depth and feeling it’s almost like they already live and breathe – you feel their hurt, frustration and love emanating off the page. If the movie can capture this, how can it not be truly moving?
For me it isn’t just the characters that will make this movie great, it’s the underlying themes of choice, loyalty, love and acceptance – no matter who or what you are.
This story isn’t just for young adults such as myself, I read this story to a young disabled friend, who has doubts of ever being accepted and loved. If you could see how the text alone empowered her with confidence, hope and joy – and more importantly, the contentment she found within herself. Imagine how happy and wonderful she, and others who feel the same way, will feel when they get to see the story and characters they have come to relate to and love on the big sreen? For this reason I believe the literary adaption of Twilight will not only be awesome, but it will open the hearts and eyes of many a generation to come, whether they have read the book or not.
Comment by Talena — July 30, 2008 @ 6:18 am
Twilight is a classic. It’s as simple as that, and even though melodramatic as it seems it has changed my life. I truly believe that it has made me hopeful that there is someone out there for all of us, in whatever shape and form, through Bella who is seen as an outsider in the beginning as she says herself she doesn’t relate well to people. Obvioulsy there is not a perfect vampire out there for us as in Bella’s story but there is hope that there is someone. As well as that Twilght for me acts as an escapism. Pick up the book and I can escape to another world-Edward and Bella’s world-and forget about the drama of by own life. This film will truly be great because the realism will hit every fan as hard. To see this laid out right in front of your eyes will be something else altogther.

Well the movie Twilight is being produced by Catherine Hardwicke who is a director, writer, producer, art director, and many more. She has some of the greatest movies ever made such as Thirteen, Mad City, The Nativity Story, and like i said before many more. There is also the fact that Twilight is one of the greatest selling books since well Harry Potter. And its a very interesting book that involves your typical teenaged girl who falls in love with this amazing boy who is acatually a vampire. And the whole time you read the book you imagine being there, watching this happen, and feeling the characters going through all thier difficult situcations. Children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly have fallin in love with Stephenie Meyers writings since day one when the first Twilight novel was released. So in conculsion to this with such a great book to set the stage for a movie is very difficult to fill. But with Catherine Hardwicke and Stephenie Meyer watching the book be made into reality im sure this movie will exceed our expectations and be “awesome”. I know i can not wait till it comes out because like many people i am a twilighter and im proud of it.

There has got to be about a gazillion reasons why this movie is going to be AHMAZING. But I’m just gonna sum it up: it’s Twilight & I think the cast that they picked are goin to do an amazing job, even though they may not be exactly how we pictured them, i think they will still pull it off and that it will be one of the greatest movies of all time. Cartherine Hardwicke is a great director and I love her work & since Stephenie Meyer herself oversaw the whole movie-making process, I think that it will make the movie even better than if Hardwicke had just done it on her own. Can’t wait for december 12 & good luck to everyone in the contest, there are probably a million people who deserve the cards, and I hope those who deserve them most will receive them.

I think that Twilight will be great because:
The actors and actresses are great and they did lots of work trying to get into their characters. Rob and Kristen both did a great job from what i have seen and they have awesome chemistry. Also i think the movie will be great because most people like lots of different genres and Twilight is action, romance, sci-fi, sapience, and more.I think Twilight will be a great movie because all of the crew and cast want this to be an awesome movie and are trying their hardest to make it that way. The movie has a great director, Catherine Hardwicke. She is great for this movie because she loves the story also and she connects with the cast and she sort of acts like us (twilighters). This story is not just for teenagers but for many differnet age groups so when the movie comes out i think that it will be for lots of different age groups. And also it is not just for girls but guys like it too.
i absolutely love this book and i hope once the movie comes out that people will be interested in reading the books. The books are a huge part of my life! it’s funny, my mom says that i have a one track mind, like a guy. But i don’t think about just girls, all i think about is the Twilight series.Stephenie Meyer has put out these AMAZING books and i think that the movie will do justice for the first one.

twilight is going to be awesome. i just know it for several reasons. first of all, the twilight saga books have captured our hearts from the very beginning. we have lived, breathed, and dreamed about them. AND of course, catherine is a fan herself so why would she want to dissappoint us? 2nd, THE cast, WOW. the description matches each and every one of them so well its as if my imagination is haunting me on the screen and pictures.. if you understand what i mean. lol. BUT, the movie DOES have some disadvantages also…
choking, hyperventilation, asthma attacks, and sweating excessively are the major cautions while watching twilight due to well.. ROBERT PATTINSON. (: AH. well, thats why always bring a paper bag.. ahahah

I think it’s absolutely impossible to list all the reasons why Twilight should be amazing. But I’m going to give it a shot.
1. The book & the series itself is phenomenal. Everyone’s going to want to know if the movie will live up to the legend that Stephenie Meyer has created.
2. It took me a while to pick up Twilight after my sister & friend recommended them to me. But once I did, I immediately felt like I was Bella, and I think every teenage girl can relate to that. Edward is what every girl wants. The kind of love that Bella & Edward share is something that rivals the most famous love stories of all time. Bringing the book to the silver screen makes it so much more accessible to everyone, and they can still experience that love.
3. The cast is a relatively unknown group. They haven’t really been in any really big movies or played really big parts. I feel as if that’s the way it should be. I can’t think of any famous stars that would fit any of the characters. That is definitely one thing that will make the movie amazing.
4. The story line! Everyone makes up a movie in their head while reading the book, but now we’ll get to see more or less what Stephenie Meyer had in her head while she was creating and writing the series.
5. It’s telling of a story that anyone would give the world to be part of. For the 100-some minutes we’re sitting there in the dark of the movie theatre, we are right there with Bella & Edward. We feel their connection & love, it’s right there & so very real. It gives people hope that there true love & soul mates really exist. Even if you do have to wait, you can see that it’s well worth the wait.
6. The story is relatable, heartwarming, encouraging, endearing & a beautiful tale about two people in love; the hardships & pains they go through just to be together, because they know now that they can’t live without the other, not that they’ve found each other, how strong & real their love is, but the same time how out of this world it is.
I can gurantee that I will be at the 12:01am showing on December 12th. I will be at a release party for BD. I’m just your average American girl/young woman. But when I’m reading a Twilight book, I feel like I could be like Bella. An ordinary girl who turns out to be extrodinary.
Comment by Katie — July 30, 2008 @ 3:42 pm
I believe that “Twilight” will be an awesome movie because Stephenie waited for the right script (as if we could eliminate the Cullens from the story?? NOT), the right director and they all chose the most incredible cast possible!
Robert Pattinson, in the footage we’ve already seen, **IS** Edward Cullen. The facial expressions that he makes are just incredible. I shiver when I see a new scene with him in it – he’s that good!
Kristin Stewart will be an incredible Bella Swan. She has that down to earth quality to her, and she conveys so much emotion in her eyes.
The rest of the cast is just unbelievable — so close to what i pictured in my mind.
OH __ and can I say that another reason the movie will be awesome is that ILM is going to be handling the “sparkling” effect in the meadow? !!! THAT is totally awesome — ILM are the Gods of the special effects world – in my humble opinion!
I’m glad you had such a great time at Comic-Con & were able to pick up enough goodies for yourself, your niece, and those of us who couldn’t be there — that is VERY COOL of you!
Counting the days till Twilight opens in theaters (( 134 )) ….

I think that the Twilight movie will be awesome because when appeared the book for sale, many of us interested in designing the cover, and more than anything the synopsis so interesting and so short that, we (fans) buy the book…is fantastic !!… what book draws you in this way?… Twilight!!
Of course the people recommended it, and so there are more fans.
Now Twilight, that will be premiere in December, we (fans) we will see the film, because if a book convinces us … because we wouldn’t convince with a film?, and as many say …. with the actors hottest !! and the actors are so similiar to the characters (really, when I learned which actors would be the characters…I screamed: Really??!! is perfect!!)… I think that also the film will bring a lot of audience wanting to see one of their favorite actors.
Also, the trailers and interviews with those people who give life to the characters leave us most impacted because everybody see, that Twilight is a film that will be of quality excelent.
That are what I think.
Thanks for reading ^.^

Why I think the Twilight movie will be awesome? Well, because Stephenie Meyer said so! She is the creator of the almighty Twilight saga, and I think she would know if the movie will turn out good or bad more than the rest of us. So, to know that she approves of everything, makes me feel comforted and know that the movie will truly be awesome. Plus, with hot actors such as Robert Pattinson, Kellan Lutz, and Cam Gigandet, you know it’ll be good. But, really, when I look at the scene from Penelope, the trailer, and all of the other scenes I’ve seen online, and it makes me smile, knowing that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson have such great chemistry together, I know the movie’ll be great. They are so into their characters it makes me feel like Edward, Bella, and the rest are actually real. That’s when you know you have an awesome movie.
Comment by Rikako — July 31, 2008 @ 3:10 am
The Twilight movie will be totally awesome because…
1) It’s really rare to have a vampire movie with such intense moments like the action and of course, the romance. Hahaha.
2) Most of the stuffs are really detailed such as the different eye colors, pale skin, their hair, dressing etc etc.
3) If the books are such a hit, why not the movie? Even thousands people have come to know about the movie even though it’s still months away.
4) WHAT MOVIE WOULD NOT BE AWESOME WITH ROBERT PATTINSON IN IT. :D

I think Twilight will be a great movie because a lot of people can compare something in their life to this book. Many girls seem to find hope of sometime finding `that guy.´ Since Twilight is such a great book, many people who love the Twilight books, will love the movie! Also, the books are so detailed. Stephenie detailes the eyes, hair, clothes, shiny skin, and their feelings. Everytime I read them I feel like I’m Bella. Plus, I think the cast is great! Kristen, Robert, Kellan, Taylor, and all the rest! I can almost guarantee that this will be everyone’s favorite movie when they see it! It will also be a great movie because, I’m not sre if other people do this too but, everytime I’m bored or upset, I pick up my copy of Twilight, New Moon, or Eclipse and it cheers me up. And I know, that I will go to the Twilight movie at least 2 times! Well that pretty much wraps it up! 12.12.08! Can’t wait!

THis is going to be the best movie ever! I just love how the whole prospect of the forbiden love doesn’t even matter to Edward and Bella. Man, even their names sound wondeful togehter. They way Stephenie describes them, how they take everything so slowly, and actually cherish their time together, not making out on the couch 24/7. They actually love each other and want to do things right, well as right as they can with him being a vampire and all. How they go through everything and still manage to stay sane amazes me. Then New Moon, dear god that book almost killed me. It’s always painful to read it, and to see how Edward was if hopefully Stephenie continues his perspecive. Wow, that would be amazing. I am personally all for Team Edward. I even got over my High School Musical obsession and moved on to Twilight. There is no couple better then Edward and Bella. The cast is and will be wonderful. =D

I think the Twilight movie will be great because of the actors in it and the book Twilight is a kick ass book anyhow. Also I think that the movie will be great since it will reflect on what we thought in our minds about what was happening and what the scenery is like in the movie so we can compare what we thought when we were reading to the movie and seeing the actual setting. I also think the movie will be great because Twilight rocks overall

i think the Twilight movie will be amazing because its based on an a compelling love story which defies danger on a regular basis. Edward and Bella’s relationship is like forbidden love i can’t wait to see their story to unfold on the big screen. Also the extra details that the movie has added such as ” The Cullen Crest” and new scenes such as the field trip scene will really make the book even more incredible. Overall the Twilight saga is sooooo awesome!
Comment by Mel — August 1, 2008 @ 2:51 pm
I think the movie will be astounding because now people will be able to see the love that connects Bella and Edward. Every piece of text from the book can now be played out by the talented Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. I definitely think that they have the potential to make certain scenes as fiery and intense as Stephanie Meyer wrote them out to be. Some people will sadly go theirs whole lives without experiencing this kind of fervent love. So I look forward to seeing the movie because it will show people, in minuet detail (each body position, each eye exchange) what Stephenie Meyer means when she writes “I love you.”

Twilight will be the most awesome movie everrrr because it is the greatest love story since romeo and juliet. these are the hardest odds to overcome, trying not to kill her, every second of your life having to be careful. It will change the way we live. It’ll have every girl swooning over edward and every guy wishing and trying to be more like him. i think this movie will make our society a lot better in that way. the romance of the story is just sooo breathtaking :) if, being a book, it can make you laugh, cry, hope, and dream; imagine what the movie will do to you! and that is why i say the movie will be completely amazing :)

Twilight for me will really shine like Edward’s skin when put under the sunlight. It has a very unique story. For fifteen years, I never ever heard a love story between a vampire and a human being until Twilight came to my life through a magazine. As what my other fellow “vampire” friends say, Twilight will reign in the hearts of teen-agers like us…=)
As a fan of Twilight, I wish all the best for the author who created this superb, extraordinary, super-natural, phenomenal book of the 20th century. it was the novel i will never forget. TWILIGHT ROCKS FOREVER!!!!!
We know that the upcoming movie will really click…We will support the movie and encourage others to watch it so that they will know how EXTRAORDINARY Twilight is….We wish all the cast of Twilight the very best!!!!!
WE UBER LOVE THE TWILIGHT Saga!!!!!!! =)

the movie is going to rock because,
ONE- the newest AND hottest young stars are starring in it. how great will that be? like Rob Pattinson.. (;
TWO- the book is beyond great and i have faith with catherine hardwicke and the screenwriter who will keep is similar to the book. it reminds me when you read a book and pictures are supposed to play in your head, kinda like that i suppose.
THREE- it’s visual, now we can SEE how Edward and James fought, instead of imagining it, or at least it gives us a basis. we can SEE how graceful these vampires are, how flawless they look, and having it come to life opposed to our imaginiation, not that imagination is bad!
FOUR- everything about watching movies. the music, the darkness, the atmostphere, the dialogue, etc. personally, it seems more appealing than to read a book all day on a couch sometimes.
:D

The twilight movie will not be awesome, it will be AMAZING. There are many reason but it will be amazing probably because or Catherine Hardwicke! I mean, have you seen her work? She’s a very visual type of person and from the interviews with her she really knows her twilight and the emotions in it. Also letting Stephenie Meyer in on the movie was an amazing choice since, I mean come on, she wrote the books! If anything will have the possiblity of making this movie bad, she’s right there to tell them that something’s a bad idea. Not that there will be much bad ideas in this. Another reason this will be amazing is because of the actors. Robert Pattinson isn’t exactly what I imagined as Edward, but as soon as I saw him in make-up I was amazed at how awesome they made him look. Kirsten Stewart IS the awkward person I saw in my head while reading. Everyone else in this movie is pretty much spot on how I read them. It’s kind of unbelievable. There’s also a pretty obvious reason, If the book was amazing, how can the movie suck? They can’t do anything that much different from the book and since we all love the story in the book SO much, it will definitely amazing. The movie will also be amazing because as we sit there watching the movie there will be dramatic music and effects that we probably didn’t hear while reading the books so it will feel as if we’re actually in Forks. Also the setting is great! Hardwicke went through thick and thin in the location, including rain and sun that they didn’t want but seeing the trailer made me realize that she really did pull together an amazing movie after waiting for the perfect weather. Also the queen of the universe – Stephenie Meyer said the movie is pretty awesome and how can anyone disagree? What she says goes and she also has said she saw the whole book as a movie in her head anyway so the movie has got to be great if she SAID that the movie is good and how she saw it in her head.

The Twilight movie is gonna be really amazing because.. Well to start with, the actors are so amazing.
I’ve seen a lot of them in other movies and such and they are GOOD.
There has been a lot of talk about the cast, some are happy, some are not, I am HAPPY.
I really like the cast, they’re making justice to the characters.
Catherine Hardwicke who’s the director, she seems to be a great director from what I’ve seen. The movie Thirteen is one of my favorite movies and it has been for a long time and she was the director of it. Plus, Nikki Reed who’s gonna play Rosalie Hale in Twilight was the writer of it AND she also had a role in it.
So what do we have so far, the cast and crew are AMAZING.
Let me keep going with the book the movie is based on now. I LOVE the book. It’s so well written and it’s really touching and beautiful. Stephenie Meyer is a wonderful and talented writer. Twilight is really an amazing love story so honestly, a movie based on that lovely book.. How can the movie NOT turn out AWESOME?
And also, we have watched a scene. The scene where Edward and James are fighting and it’s really great.
The lines are so good and the wire works are done really well, everything looks so good.
And then we do have the teaser trailers. They are so amazing. I really love what we have seen so far, I can’t wait to see the real movie. It’s gonna be SOOO awesome!
I also think that the music is gonna play a big part in why this movie is gonna be so amazing. The fact that Robert Pattinson (Edward) himself composed Bella’s Lullaby, it just makes it more touching and it means a lot to all of us Twilight fans.
Even though the book are written for young adults I think all ages is gonna enjoy this upcoming movie because it contains so much. It’s action, it’s love, it’s everything.
Edward and Bella are like Romeo and Juliet, that’s how they have been described so many times.
I bet there’s a thousand more reasons to why this movie is gonna be totally AMAZING but at least I’ve mentioned a few of them.

I think that the Twilight movie will be SOOO AWESOME!!!! It has an amazing cast, and Catherine Hardwicke is an amazing director, and she has done a great job on ALL of her movies! She’ll make Twilight even better than it already will be! I can’t wait to see it! Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are EXACTLY the type of people I imagined playing Bella and Edward! I’m am positive that they will do a wonderful job on the movie! The rest of the cast like Nikki Reed and Ashley Greene are exactly how I imagined Rosalie and Alice also! I can’t wait for the Twilight movie to come out, and I am so glad that I read all of the books! They are amazing, and Stephanie Meyer is a genious to decide to say yes to making it into a movie! I will be a dedicated Twilight fan forever!

Well I think that the twilight move will rock because for one its twilight. the books were great and second Stephanie Meyer also was there when they were going over the screen writing so you know that if there was something that was way outta what she wrote she probably woulda said something. The actors that they picked to play all the caracters are great choices and after seeing the trailer it will be the best move of 2008. at least thats my opinion.

Twilight will make such an awesome movie because everybody wants to see a human fall in love with a beautiful yet perfect vampire. Also, because the actors and actress that are going to be playing the story characters are great. There is a lot of chemistry in bella and edward, and Robert Patterson and Kirsten Stewart are sure to pull it off. I love the whole twilight saga and this movie is going to make big hit. Twilight is a new twist in movies; a perfect love story. Even better than the notebook :]] Bella’s and Edward’s story is one that captures your heart and tells you that true love is real.

Hi
I think that it must become a very good movie since the book is so good.
Then you have to think about what the actors bring to the movie, Robert is an amazing actor that have so many excellent movies behind him, Kristen Stewart is very goodlooking and have done great movies too. They both are great actors and Catherine Hardwicke have a great touch and can make magic with the movie.
The great supporting cast are backing things up and the trailers have been breathtaking. Then who can resist a good lovestory with sexy vampires, I sure can’t!!!!
Just looking forward to sit in the cinema and drool lool
Take care

This movie is going to be marvelous! I’m obsessed times a bijillion. I read the first book in 13 hours. Then someone told me it was going to be a movie. I had a flip out right there in the grocery store. I have been counting down since. We have 36 more days. My english teacher asks me everyday, “How many more days?” I got her reading the book at the beginning of the year and she read them all in 2 days! So now we are taking a fieldtrip to see the movie on Friday Nov. 21st! I’m turning the whole school into TwiFans! Yay! Robert Pattison is so fine too, yeah! :) Can’t wait, can’t wait, can’t wait! PICK ME! :)

hiya,
well gosh, i can’t believe you are willing to give up extra twilight products!! if i were you i would just decorate my walls so i would be surrounded by twilight 24/7 ’cause yeah, i’m just that obsessive, but thats besides the point… Twilight i know is going to be a-m-a-z-i-n-g! for sure summit entertainment will keep true to their word of their saying, “We’re doing this for you.” It’s going to be full out pure twilight reenactment of the novel (besides the things they can’t do in real life…). peopel believe that Robert Pattinson, by the way, major fine piece of ass, is going to do great playing edward bacause to me he’s perfect just by looking at the trailers. And Kristen, oh my goodness, she just screams Bella and also by seeing the trailer she nail every cheesy (excuse me) line they give her and makes it believeable! All the Cullens are just phenominal and look the part, every single one of them! especially Emmett (Kellan Lutz), he’s my favorite, besides Edward (Rob!) -fan girl squeal- oh gosh please let me win!

I just want to say first, I LOVE GEEKS OF DOOM, I’m on your site every single day. & I of course LOVE Twilight, with a passion. It’s always on my mind. When I hear music I relate it parts in Twilight. I have seen the trailer 99 times (no joke) and I own and have read all the books each 5 times.
I am so obsessed with this awesome series. I have already pre-booked my tickets to see Twilight. I think it will make an awesome movie. Though I hear it had some mixed reviews from critical movie reviewers who know NOTHING of Twilight! *angry growl*
I know it is a rarity for the book to even amount to the movie, but Twilight just has to be an exception (isn’t it for everything else)
I love Twilight… oh my god! It’s indescribable & impossible to put into words!
TEAM JACOB 4EVER!

I haven’t seen the movie, yet. Will I go see it?
Of course.I HAVE seen clips from the movie, and already I can tell that it will have an air of mystery to it. And that ALWAYS makes for a great movie.
Kristin and Rob have so much chemistry, on and off screen, it’s amazing! And that in itself makes for a wonderful movie. And of course, if it is anything like the book, it can’t help but be amazing.
I don’t think Twilight will be great. I know it will.
Anything written, made or shaped after the Twilight series has no option but to rock this world.

OK… I am not going to BS here, the movie was okay. I liked the books a lot, but I am not a tween. However, my daughter is a tween and if you even have a new picture of the guy who plays Edward, she lets out the shreik that only girls can so. While it is ear splitting, I love my daughter and will do what I can to make her happy. Therefore, I am writing you here and asking for you to send us the SWAG. BTW… go to the DC Comics stand and say howdy to Stuart. Thanks. Enjoy sunny SD!!!
